Herschel Walker here was a terrible choice. Let's pick some random famous black guy and he will win. I told my buddy the day he announced he had way too much baggage. I went to high school with him.

Most people I talked to in PA about it, thought yes. Oz was viewed as an outsider, elite, snob, quack, and not interested in Pennsylvania. Fetterman was viewed as endearing, gruff, concerned about people in the state, common every man and... dare I use the word *cringe* maverick..y?? In general people really wanted him to do well, and wanted him to overcome his illness. I can only think the fact that he's still in the hospital means he was having serious mental instability - and for some, that means they will empathize with him more, because they've been through it themselves.

So like the remaking of Joe Biden from a lying plagiarizing career politician to Lunch Pail Joe, Fetterman was crafted as some sort of ideal Everyman candidate.  Just one interview with him and his wife should have dispelled that.  It was also interesting how his racist act of chasing an unarmed black man was all but ignored by the Democrats, Left and MSM.  I will not defend Oz as a stellar candidate, but I will take a self made immigrant any day over a man that had a stroke and needed time to recover instead of permanently harming himself.

It's interesting the notes from the doctors there. I kind of feel like previously he wasn't getting his disabilities properly addressed or having the right sort of therapy. They've fitted him with hearing aids and worked with speech pathology and that should help him recover if he continues. They also made some medication changes, that I bet were making some things worse. The big thing here is if his therapy properly continues, and if he has a good enough support system to poke him to do what he needs to do.
