Did Not Get Medical Results at POE

Hi,

My wife and her daughter came here on an IR1/IR2 visas last month, and everything went fine. No problems at POE. Were they suppose to receive their medical exams back? I understand everything is done electronically, so they never got a visa packet. Will they just never know what the medical results are? (She and her daughter had their medical done in St. Lukes Philippines).

My wife was also stamped with a Class A or B TB tag but didn't require a sputum exam during medical or anything (she did go through a psychological evaluation). CBP at POE didn't say anything about this and we haven't received a call from the local health department since August. Am I suppose to follow up or just wait?

Also, do we need to do anything else while waiting for naturalization? I've checked around the forums and it seems there's nothing else to do at least until naturalization.

They passed the medical.  That's all they'll ever know unless there was a problem to deal with between the exam and the medical.

Alright, thank you so much! So if we don't get a call, we should be OK? Just gonna be vigilant in checking emails and calls, I guess. I just want to make sure we do everything right. 😮💨

Correct, also nothing to do with immigration except to notify of any changes of address.  Can file for Naturalization 33 months after US entry.

CBP does not release medical results at POE.  The medical results should have come from SLEC after the medical exam.  Did your wife and daughter get a copy of their vaccination worksheets at least?  If not, they could have returned to SLEC after their visa interview to get the worksheets, but too late now.

Yes they got their vaccination worksheets. They were told that's all they needed, since everything is electronic now. But I guess since they got the visas I assume they passed and don't have some kind of life-threatening illness I should worry about? Lol

Yes, the vaccination worksheets are all they need from SLEC.  As for life-threatening illnesses, your wife and daughter will have to get examined by their doctor in the US.  The purpose of the visa medical is to check that potential immigrants do not pose a threat to public health in the US.  So aside from asking applicants about their medical history, the visa medical doesn't test for illnesses other than a few contagious ones or those that could lead to harm for other US residents.  For example, there's no screening for cancer or heart conditions at the visa medical.
