Good Evening, so we have our appointment to bring documents the day before the actual appointment.  Can I go to that appointment (document drop off) with my fiance?   I have heard he goes alone for the interview but I have no heard any comments about the dropping off document process.  I have read several people generously share the tip to avoid all electronic devices on the day of the appointment because they are prohibited, but can I have them with me (cell phone) when we drop off documents.  Any experience you have had and are willing to share is big time appreciated.  Also, what did you do while your fiance was in the interview?  Is there a Starbucks or a cafe that would let me stay there endlessly  (of course I will spend and tip the heck out of the staff)  thank you so much

I don't know the situation in Mexico City, but i assume is the same as the consulate in Ciudad Juarez.

Only the applicant will be able to enter the consulate building to drop off documents and for the interview. I don't have an answer the other questions.

Good luck!

So long day for us.  WE had an issue with the i134, they wanted a new one filled out because the last one is 6 months old.  So, we had to submit that document on the day of appointment , today.  My fiance went in and I waited at starbucks, and they sent him 3 more times to get more documents, than he came back and yes, they interviewed me...( they showed us a locker to lock up our personal items and phones)....So both were interviewed and they just asked for a certified copy of a divorce record and 3 phone numbers of references to call to verify our relationship.  This turned out very different than other posts, so people should be aware.  Super happy I went to the interview with my fiance.
