Seems your parents will need to wait around a year more.  This VJ member just got IL in Sep 2022 for DQ Mar 2021 --

I did all the documentation my self for my parents. I am used to of doing paperwork myself. If you have not done immigration paper work before go for lawyer. If you have prior experience of immigration paper work It’s straight forward. If you make mistake it will delay acceptance of the case. I miss understood documentation requirements and causes for 4 months delay.

what is DQ date?

Documentarily Qualified - at NVC, after submitting all supporting docs - when they’ve been checked and approved the case is then added to the queue for an interview date if the PD is current.

We are still waiting for interview date in Pakistan.

😳😴😴 omg , its almost a year and you are still waiting for interview date after completing all process at NVC. Am I missing something? I thought after all documents submission it usually takes three or four months for parents because there is no limitation for parents and spouse visa of US citizen.

Makes no difference for consulates with backlogs and Islamabad is one of them unfortunately. Here’s the thread for spousal applicants via Islamabad, it’s about a 2 year wait from DQ to interview date IIRC -

It's a two year wait from DQ to interview at ISB consulate for IR1 cases.
