Our NOA2 was on 10/21. I sent an inquiry to NVC on 11/23 to see if they've received my case from USCIS. A week later on 11/30 I got a response that my case was received:.

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems.

Since your case is not in our systems yet, we cannot make updates.

As soon as your case is in our systems, we will send a Welcome Letter and instructions. Then, if you still need help updating your case, you can contact us by using one of the methods listed on https://nvc.state.gov/ask.

For current processing times, please visit our website: https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes for English or https://nvc.state.gov/plazos for Spanish. If your petition was approved before the dates NVC is working on, please resubmit your inquiry.

You can also begin to familiarize yourself with the documents NVC will request at that site."

We got approved 10/29. My fiance sent an email to them  ( 11/29/2022 lately at night ) 3 business days passed , if they received our file and they didn't response yet. Which e-mail did you write ? nvcresearh@state.gov or you just filled the inquiry form and they responded back ?

I used the inquiry form on their website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Our NOA2 was 10/04/22. I just got the exact same letter. I was under the impression it was supposed to take about a month to get the case number. Maybe I was mistaken?

According to historical processing times from VisaJourney, it is taking an average of 52 days for NVC to receive a case from USCIS and then an average of 34 days for them to process it.

Of course not everyone is updating their timelines and the accuracy of these numbers are not great, but still some kind of estimate.

My k-1 petition was approved on 10/27. I have a daughter (US citizen (CRBA), 2 years old) who lives with my fiancé abroad and my fiancé is 6 months pregnant, our second child. Since I am not with her, and she couldn't take care of herself and our daughter as her due date approaching, I requested expedite request via email. I provide medical evidence, my daughter US passport, i-797 as attachments. My statement of expedite is written in the email body. However, I got response below from the NVC, which I don't understand; are they referring to a traditional mail or the statement of expedite request to be written on a word and attached.
"

Your correspondence indicates that you may wish for the processing of this petition to be expedited.  Please provide a written expedite request accompanied by medical documentation, deployment papers, statement of hardship, etc., if applicable.  Upon receipt we will forward the request to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General for review.  In order to process this request, we will also need to receive the following additional information:

·           Name, date and country of birth of the beneficiary

·           Beneficiary's foreign address and phone number

·           Notice of Action (Form I-797), indicating the case is approved
"

Hey, any update on this? How did it end up working out for you?

Hi guys ,

is there anyone received an email by nvc research “ we recently received your petition etc etc “ but nvc inquiry says “ we did not receive yet your petition “. I’m facing this problem nowadays and I can’t be sure. Which email is saying the truth. Any idea ?

I didn't receive any email from NVC Research. However, when i asked  NVC inquiry first time they told me the petition was received and waiting to enter to the system, but the second time NVC inquiry said they did not receive it. So I inquired 3rd time and they said it was received and waiting to be entered. Also, I reached out to NVC through congresswoman of my district, and NVC said my petition was received November 7th (for your reference my NOA2 is Oct 3rd). Like you said, this is a problem from NVC's end and creating a big confusion. Send another inquiry stating your situation with this confusion and demand a solid received date to see if that's going to work.

Thank you for your answering my friend. I asked you a few more questions. Can you check your dm ?

I got same conflicting messages from NVC. First msg was ‘received but not entered yet’ and second inquiry was ‘not yet received’. USCIS confirmed they sent on Nov 9th so I will just wait till Jan first week and should be very close to case # by that point. Good luck everyone!

This just happened to me too. First 2 inquiries said they "recently" received my case. On my 3rd inquiry they said they have not received my case from USCIS. This is really annoying. This better be just a glitch.

Congrats! What do we do with the case number? Can you log in to the CEAC portal and fill out docs or submit payments? At what point do we get a welcome letter? Sorry for so many questions, I'm a bit lost in this process.
