Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2  K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

 NVC phone number is  (603)334-0888

🚨  Please note:  They are currently not answering queries over the phone! 🚨

They are answering through the below email :

➡️   NVCinquiry@state.gov ⬅️

Once you’ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

If you need to change an address or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been put together by Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read as these are most asked questions.

I was previously including a 2022 shipping dates chart that’s created based off last years data, but I’ve been told the shipping dates have changed this year and I have not located an accurate chart. If anyone has located an accurate chart, please feel free to share it below!

NOA2 approved last Wednesday 19-Oct-2022.

based on what I read, they ship to NVC every other Tue/Wed.

anyone know if my application will ship in next two days (oct 25 or 26th)? Is there anyway to tell?

NVC ships to Embassy every other Tues/Wed. There really isn't a schedule when USCIS ships to NVC. Best bet is to wait another 3-4 weeks before reaching out to NVC to establish if they received your case.

We received our approval a month ago, still no word on weather it was received by NVC. Does anyone have any updates? I feel like we are being played, because I cant think of a single shipping service that takes that long to make delivery. Id take it there on foot faster than that lol

No updates for us, yet. We lost our son in august and really want to get to LA before Christmas so we can have a funeral service for him with my family and extended family. We already came to grips that that’s probably not happening.
I don’t think it’s the shipping service that they’re using, it’s probably because they don’t ship every week, and they sit in a pile until someone gets to them.

You can’t really make an expedite without the case number. So we’re basically sitting in limbo hoping that they will get it done this week before thanksgiving. Our lawyer put one in anyway.

I meant. As far as I know. You can request an expedite for your case number.

I reached out to them through the inquiry form and sent an email. My lawyer also reached out using the same tactics and by sending them an expedite request. So we will see what happens.

I need some clarification, please. Parallel Oddling, you shared a link about NVC timeframes and on that link it says before processing at the NVC that the affidavit of support has to be "submitted" as well as the beneficiary's DS260. I was under the impression that the affidavit of support needed to be sent to the beneficiary to present at her embassy interview? Is it both? If so, where does it need to be submitted to? and by what time does the DS-260 need to be done? I'm so confused on the timeline. We got NAO2 on October 21st, 2022.

Update from my recent call to USCIS. They were able to tell me that my petition/NOA2 approval was sent to NVC on Nov 9th (that means it took them 3 weeks to send it to NVC as my NOA2 approval date was Oct 19th). The lady on phone said she wanted to check ‘multiple systems’ before confirming the date to me. She said everything matched as Nov 9th sent date. She was NOT looking at NVC system as she doesn’t have access. I submitted NVC inquiry form today (Nov 29) asking about status. I figure it will take them about 3 weeks till they get to my inquiry which should be close to the 60 day mark from NOA2 approval.

Oh wow! Congratulations! We have the same approval date. I contacted USCIS last Wednesday and they told me that our petition was still pending shipment. So they’re still holding it hostage even though they know we have a family emergency. Ugh! Hopefully, you get your case number in the next couple of weeks.

Our NOA2 was on 10/21. I sent an inquiry to NVC on 11/23 to see if they've received my case from USCIS. A week later on 11/30 I got a response that my case was received:.

"Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems.

Since your case is not in our systems yet, we cannot make updates.

As soon as your case is in our systems, we will send a Welcome Letter and instructions. Then, if you still need help updating your case, you can contact us by using one of the methods listed on https://nvc.state.gov/ask.

For current processing times, please visit our website: https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes for English or https://nvc.state.gov/plazos for Spanish. If your petition was approved before the dates NVC is working on, please resubmit your inquiry.

You can also begin to familiarize yourself with the documents NVC will request at that site."

My k-1 petition was approved on 10/27. I have a daughter (US citizen (CRBA), 2 years old) who lives with my fiancé abroad and my fiancé is 6 months pregnant, our second child. Since I am not with her, and she couldn't take care of herself and our daughter as her due date approaching, I requested expedite request via email. I provide medical evidence, my daughter US passport, i-797 as attachments. My statement of expedite is written in the email body. However, I got response below from the NVC, which I don't understand; are they referring to a traditional mail or the statement of expedite request to be written on a word and attached.
"

Your correspondence indicates that you may wish for the processing of this petition to be expedited.  Please provide a written expedite request accompanied by medical documentation, deployment papers, statement of hardship, etc., if applicable.  Upon receipt we will forward the request to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General for review.  In order to process this request, we will also need to receive the following additional information:

·           Name, date and country of birth of the beneficiary

·           Beneficiary's foreign address and phone number

·           Notice of Action (Form I-797), indicating the case is approved

Our NOA2 was 10/04/22. I just got the exact same letter. I was under the impression it was supposed to take about a month to get the case number. Maybe I was mistaken?
