Thank you so much for the clarification! One more question if your able. Did you also need the petitioners birth certificate issued after 2010? Mine is the same one that was issued when I was born in 1995 ( I am the petitioner). I suprisingly was actually never asked to submit my birth certificate at NVC, just my passport page so wondering if I should get an updated birth certificate for my self. My wife's birth certificate was issued in 2012 and her police certificates will be less than a year old at interview and I have everything else ready so everything should be good to go thankfully.

I really appreciate your help! Thanks!

The CO didn't asked for the petitioner's bc, but I also updated it and took it to my interview to avoid any delay.

Thanks! Do you mind if I ask you what questions the CO asked you guys in particular since you were also at the guyana embassy recently. Like what do they really focus on, I've been living in guyana with my wife for almost 4 years and have 2 kids and its pretty obvious the marriage is real. Just wondering if there is any curveball questions I might get taken by surprise me that I should be ready for.

The CO only asked me two questions, who is my petitioner and how long we have been married and my visa was approved. The entire interview lasted about 7 minutes. Their main focus is to be convinced that your marriage is bona-fide and you are eligible for the visa that you have been petitioned for.

A plus for me was due to the fact that we frontloaded our case at uscis stage with enough evidence of our marriage being real and I saw the CO had the same file at my interview.

Once your marriage is real and valid there is nothing to worry about, just be honest with the CO.
