I was wondering what are the “strong ties” at our home country we can show the immigration officer at the US border should we would like to visit our spouse while an I130 is pending ?

Check the thread below for suggestions and reports from others who visited while pending I-130 --

Thank you.

Hello,

I went through the US security at Boston Logan airport about 1 month ago and the officer didn't ask us anything ! I would say, there isn't any rules, it's at the officer discretion ..

I had nothing with me as a proof but we were travelling with my mother in law, I guess you should bring your mother in law then 😂

I went probably 4 times while my I-130 was in progress. I assume border officials have no way of knowing. I was never asked about such things even though I was travelling with my wife every time. I always answered honestly to the question what are you visiting for, e.g. visiting family for Christmas.

No problems ever.
