Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

devilette,

Do you carry your driver's license with you? You're supposed to. You could lose that, or your credit cards, also.

Yodrak

You can lose a lot of things but that wasn't the question, was it?

Whenever I'm carrying my bag, I have my GC. Actually it's my old one as I hate the pic on my 10 year one. I also have a copy of front and back stored away in case it does get lost or stolen.

Hubby has a copy of his too, and was carrying that till I read that he was supposed to carry it on him.

How often do you take your bag?

The only time I don't carry it with me are on late night runs to Sonic with my hubby. It's a 3 minute drive from my house, so I don't fret about it. I carry it with me everywhere else though.

Probably 90% of the times I go out the door. So for a quick walk to the shop or a bike ride, I don't take my bag. I wouldn't go out of state without it for example, but not gonna fret if I'm out locally and get caught without it either.

I'm going to "flashback" answer this one.

I xeroxed it, laminated the copy and carried that instead of the original.

My husband carries it most of the time. The only exceptions are quick runs to the store or visits to family members where he wouldn't bring his wallet along. It's the same with my driver's liscence and other identification, I carry it with me just about everywhere when I leave the house with a few rare exceptions. Better safe than sorry, especially as it says to carry it with you at all times.
