Those with a pending I-751 who received an interview date for N-400, has anyone gotten their I-751 approved before the citizenship interview date?

I was interviewed before for I-485 within US and have been  waiting for I-751 since May 2021. My interview for N-400 is November.

Thank you!

Someone can correct me, but I think once both are pending, it will always be a “combo” interview where they finalize both together.

No, nowadays there can be multiple scenarios:

1. Combo

2. N-400 passed, but waiting for I-751 approval which can happen months later with or without interview

3. I-751 approved before N-400 interview

My money is on 1 or 2.

If it's combo, the interview letter should state, I think.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You will most likely have a combo i751 and n400 interview, and no they don't notify you it is a combo interview our was just n400 invitation no mention of our i751.

It is possible it will just be a n400 interview but a combo interview is most likely to occur so be prepared by bringing your spouse and updated bona fide marriage proof to the interview.

Given that you had your interview in November, was it a Combo interview? What was the outcome?

Had a combo interview about a week ago.  I-751 portion was done first, then the N-400 interview.  When we returned home about an hour later, the I-751 status remained "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview".  The N-400 status had already changed to "Oath ceremony will be scheduled".  The next day, the I-751 status changed to "We approved your case".

We received an email a few days before the interview to inform us it was a combo interview.

Took 44 months from filing to approval for the I-751.  No RFEs.

Took 4 months from filing to approval for the N-400.  No RFEs.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
