Congrats! Quick question, when you say last submission what do you mean? I got a rfe and uploaded those docs October 20th but was cleaning and found my husbands old j1 visa so uploaded that nov 6th. Did I screw myself uploading something after? 😫😬

There seems to be some controversy about this...

  • Some people say, that if you submit any document, it resets your time.
  • Some people say that if you submit "additional documents" its ok.
  • Some say don't submit any documents, that it's better to just wait for DQ, then after DQ you can submit "additional documents" (if needed for some reason, such as name change in passport, expired PCC etc.) because since you were DQ once, then you'll already be in the line for the embassy...

I hope you didn't get reset - but even if so, you should still be DQ in ~2weeks

No no no! I uploaded the documents on Oct 18 but forgot to click “submit documents” until it was Friday Oct 21 xD .  I did not add any additional documents, I just click on submit documents late lol

Thanks @Pearljamm and @Simplytex! Five minutes after I posted that question I got the email saying we’re dq!! Based on what I’ve seen should be about two months for the interview so hopefully have that in February :D

I got 2 RFEs from NVC and was devastated on the second one.  They had the gall to ask for court documents from my husband being short 1 pound 30 on a train fare.  The conductor wrote him up (grrrr) and he paid it out like a parking ticket.   We have practically open borders to our south and NVC comes looking for court records over less than $2 worth of train fare?!!

If the police certificate mentioned any incident, it's only natural they'd ask for court documents. I'm sorry it feels unnecessary, but they don't know that.
