I’ve realised we’ve made two mistakes. The first is that despite it being in our checklist we somehow forgot to make a copy of the I29f packet before we submitted it, no idea how we managed to overlook this step but we did. First of all, is this going to be a major problem further down the line? We have the originals of all the evidence we’ve submitted etc but just not a copy of the entire packet as a whole.

The second mistake and the reason the first came to light was I don’t think we included the back page of my partners (USC) birth certificate. Can we submit that now as supplemental evidence with our WAC number? If so, could anyone tell me the best way to go about this please?

Feeling very stupid!

A copy of the fiancé petition packet will not be required anywhere. It is for your records so when you start doubting yourself, you can look at exactly what you put on a form, if you signed, or what evidence was sent, or how you made out the payment. Your London fiancé does not need it for the London embassy part of the process. All your fiancé will need from you now (for London) is your I-134 Affidavit of Support and one proof of income. Send two if are nervous about it. Nothing more from you. The London interview is all about the fiancé’s info and civil documents.

As far as the birth certificate or anything else you may think you left out— Always wait until asked to submit additional items. Something unsolicited by USCIS would never find it’s way to your immigration file.

If you were using website-based pdf form, you might have saved it somewhere, or Adobe may have autosaved it for you. Check for all the *.pdf files around that timeframe.

Look for a file sized 1.65MB.
