Anybody on here that got married and didn’t do any honeymoon? I got married two months ago in my wife country, we did the big wedding and the reception hall, but no honeymoon. My father built a beautiful house over there, so we decided to just spend out time together in the house. I hope it won’t be a problem, cause I will be filing the i130 any moment from now.

Honeymoons are personal decisions/ preferences. US immigration doesn't care whether you spend a whole month in Cancun or go back to work 1 hour after your wedding

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You'll be fine. A honeymoon doesn't mean you don't love each other, or your marriage isn't genuine. It just means you have either better priorities for the money, or you don't have time to go away.

I didn't have a honeymoon either.

Don't stress about it!

What I miss most about Canada, in no particular order:

My family!

My friends!

KD!

Hawkins Cheezies!

Poutine!

Lays Ketchup Chips!

What I don't miss:

-40 degree weather

i went to Moroc in March and April to marry

and returned in November for i called a honeymoon

But we were with family even when we rented a car and traveled throughout Morocco

Get a car and it will be filled with family that want to go especially since they arranged were we would stay (with other family or friends)

Not having a honeymoon will have no impact at all. USCIS doesn’t care about that, they want to see a legal and bonafide marriage.

We got married at home, with 10 guests and had no honeymoon (I returned to the NL 2 days after the wedding)

“It’s been 84 years…”

If the consular officer asks about whether you went on a honeymoon, simply repeat the above.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

What's important is evidence of time spent together in person, not where or what you call it.

If it helps your stress, we didn't have a honeymoon, nor a proposal, nor have engagement/wedding rings during any part of our journey starting from K1, currently awaiting ROC (and still don't). Courthouse wedding after work in street clothes, greasy $6 burgers at a bar afterwards. Never had a later formal ceremony/reception either. Not a single raised eyebrow about any of it at any point. The full picture of a relationship of course is different for everyone but you definitely don't need to worry about a honeymoon, just focus on the big ticket items required for proving bonafide (as others have said).

K1 Visa:
Filed I-129f 4/14/2018
Interview 3/27/2019 (Approved)
Visa received 4/4/2019

AOS:
Filed I-485, I-131, I-765 6/21/2019

NOA1 6/24/2019

Biometrics 7/15/2019

EAD/AP Approved 11/12/2019

Interview 2/20/2020 (Approved pending missing medical)
Approved 3/23/2020

ROC:
Filed I-751 2/15/2022

Case Received 2/17/2022
Text message received 2/22/2022

NOA1 Recieved 2/26/2022
Biometrics Waved 3/28/2022

We also didn't have a formal proposal, engagement ring, or honeymoon.  My husband already has his conditions removed. No one ever asked us anything about it, not at the K1 interview, AOS interview, or ROC interview.
