Options for my mom from Ukraine

I'm a US citizen and my elderly mom is Ukrainian. She finally came to the states to stay with me. She has a 10 year tourist visa from 2016 so she didn't have any need to apply for parole or go a more typical refugee/asylum status.

 

Due to condition in Ukraine and her age she is unlikely to go back. I was wondering what option does she have going forward with living here and adjusting her status.

 

She can't go parole route since she is already here.

She can't apply for TPS since she came after 4/11/2022.

Is there anything beside just letting her overstay her stay and applying for AOS? While possibly hoping that TPS would be extended?

Why does she need TPS?  Since she is an immediate relative of a US citizen inside the US, she can now start the adjustment of status process. Once she submits a proper I-485 package, she will be granted authorized stay in the US until the I-485 is either approved or denied.  Good luck.

with a refugee route, i was hoping there is an option for some support programs available. financial, medical insurance, etc. with an AOS route, until she gets ITIN or SSN thru AO she is SOL, isn't she?

Refugees are handled by the UNHCR

yes, for sure. since she is already here. but technically she just happened to be lucky to have a valid visa to escape and i will be sponsoring her effectively

As her child and her sponsor you should be providing financial, medical insurance and anything else she may need. There are doctors offices that take sliding scale or cash payments for those who don't have insurance.

If you file AOS for her, the interviewing officer will likely consider the financial sponsor's ability to provide health insurance coverage for her as part of the decision.  Look up rates for your state on the Affordable Care Act website to be prepared:
