I can only imagine the full gambit of emotions and challenges you are all facing. No easy decisions. I know you will make it work. Are they in good health.. of the age where some years of work will be possible for them ? My heart goes out to you. Keep us updated as the journey progresses. Go well.

How kind of you! Thank you so much!

I’m sure you can see how it looks though…….   That you did it so they could jump the queue, and not have to wait abroad for visas.

Chinese government does not even allow going abroad with valid visa unless it is for work or school nowadays. Earlier this year in mainland my parents could only renew their passport after I provided a pile of doctor notes (this passport restriction has been partially lifted lately I heard). So yes to an extent, what you said is correct too.

Sorry posted the previous reply too early by accident. Thank you again. And my parents are in reasonably good health to work, but for now we don’t have energy to think about that yet. May have to see how things go first.

All the things you are dealing with are so emotionally and physically exhausting. Take care of yourself. Im so glad your parents are here .. with you and for you. Little steps.
