Perhaps he mean't a 'A1' - that's a variant of the M16 is it not?

Except for the MP5 on the left, those on the right look like M16's to me.

the m-16a1 is auto, yes, and the one on the far right is a m-16/ar-15

eta: can't really tell about the one in the middle, it may be a m-16 as indicated by the forward assist but my eyes aren't quite that focused this early in the morning to pick out other details

both the AR-15 and M-16 will have the forward assist

(unless you are thinking about the Carbon15)

selector switch, bolt carrier, and other internal parts will be different between the AR-15 & M16. Also depending on the manufacturer, there may also be a piece of metal in the lower receiver of the AR-15 that will prevent use of M-16 components.

to tell if the rifles are AR-15 or M-16 from the picture is impossible without a closer look at the left side of the lower receiver and internal components.

Nice M1 … when do we go shooting ?

i know the difference between the 15 & 16, primarily it's the selector switch.

that's not a pic of my m-1 btw. mine has the bayonet too :D

now back to ribbing steven for not knowing his guns

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

got lots of enblocks ready to go ... your place or mine ?

steve ...

a left handed smoke shifter will help keep the smoke clear from your shooting position while firing full auto at the range. not so good for the person next to you ... but will help keep your target visible.
