I noticed in the Jan 2023 filing thread about the 36 or 48 months extension letter. Has anyone in the Oct 2022 received a revised letter yet? My status is still 'Received' since Nov 1st 2022.

Maybe not a useful reply but definitely haven't received anything concerning the extension as of yet. Also stuck on received with no news of biometrics since oct 1st*. Hopefully these updated notices are rolled out smoothly 😄

*Edit: 31st.

Haven't received any new extension letter either...

However, I try to look at my case in MyUSCIS and got this message 'Your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible.' - Maybe some glitch or they are trying to update the info...

Happened to a lot of people. Just an IT problem on USCIS end.

Hi, guys.

I filed my i751 at 10/28

and got a extend letter and reuse biometric something at  early November. (NOV3? I am not sure)

I can't find my processing time because my service center is MSC. (There's no MSC tab in USCIS homepage.)

Anyone else like me?

Anyway, Good luck to everybody

Sorry for my broken English haha

Anyone else experiencing this?

What about the update to interview waivers per the Biden Administration. Will this now expedite some of those backlogged cases?

Have you tried checking case status without login?

Great, that's the current status of your application then. Many people see message about unavailable status. It's USCIS website problem.

So they sent a 4 year extension. Have ppl really been waiting 4 years for their green card???? What happens if I apply for citizenship? How does that affect the 10 year green card application?

Yes, some people like @Crazy Cat's wife had to wait close to 4 years. In their case, they filed N-400 with I-751 pending.

You can apply for citizenship whenever you become eligible. In many cases this can speed up approval for I-751. In other cases it won't have any effect at all.

40 months after submitting the I-751 (we had been waiting for an interview since early 2019), my wife applied for citizenship.  4 months later both I-751 and N-400 were approved during a combo interview.  six weeks after the interview, she took the citizenship oath and became a citizen.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400

Why did you guys wait that long to apply for N400?

Just curious
