Filing GC and currently on H1

Hello,

I am currently holding H1B visa and approved I140. I also recently got married to a citizen and planning to start my GC process. I have a couple of questions in regards to the following:

1. I have my H1B address in a different state. Since I got married, I moved to a different state. While applying for my GC, should I update the address on my H1B visa via amendment or is it not required?

2. Since my I140 is already approved, can I convert my case to a family based GC process instead of employment based?

1.  As a foreign national living in the US, you must file AR-11 change of address with USCIS within 10 days of moving.

2.  There is no conversion.  Your approved I-140 will not be required if you want to pursue family-based immigration.  You will need a new I-130 petition from your USC spouse, to be submitted with your I-485 AOS application.
