Where to file I-693

My wife has a new SSN and permission to work, however, we are waiting to see when the interview will take place for her marriage green card. Meanwhile, we have the completed I-693 from the civil surgeon. USCIS says we can mail it in or hold onto it until we hand deliver the document at the interview. My questions is are we delaying anything if we hold it for the interview, or should I send into the Chicago drop box now?

Bring it to the interview. That way you can be sure it won't get lost. It's nothing that will delay the process for more than 5 minutes.
