Congratulations to all that have been able to proceed in this process. 🙂

I had a question for all, anyone from NC? The Raleigh office used to be one of the quickest in setting Naturalization appointments but now its at a standstill with many cases just waiting. Thank you for any feedback. Have a safe weekend everyone 😃

I had my N-400 interview today in Philadelphia. I passed the test but decision could not be made due to my pending I-751. The office said they’ll request that my file be transferred to them.
interview went great. I spent just 5 minutes in there and my husband was not allowed to go in with me. He was asked to wait in the lobby.

Decided to check my case estimate and upon signing in into my USCIS account noticed that estimated data in months disappeared. Last time I checked it was showing «approx 3mo until decision on your case». Does anyone who still await for the invitation experiencing the same issue? Wondering if it’s just a glitch or they hid the data provided for the time being.

Around the end of last year when my application was being processed I also noticed the estimate disappearing from time to time - should not be anything to worry about.

Just checking in that I'm still waiting, 6 months and counting. Santa Ana FO. N-400 application accepted late Oct, 2022. Also have an I-751 pending, so expecting a combo interview, if it ever arrives...

keep up with the faith, it will happen and your time will come.

I had my I-751/N-400 combo interview last week. It was scheduled for 12.30 pm but there were so many people in the waiting room and everyone was waiting for hours. The officer called me and my spouse in at 2.45 pm but I heard there were people who waited over 3 hours.

The officer started with the I-751 interview which was pretty quick and lasted for less than 10 minutes but he needed new evidence because we filed back in October 2021 (new bills, new lease, the latest tax return, etc). After he approved my I-751 case he escorted my spouse out and he started my N-400 interview. He started with civics.

He asked 1)  Who's the vice president 2) Why do some states have more representatives than others 3) In what month do we vote for president? It was very quick and I don't remember the other 3. He made me read from the iPad "What is the capital of the United States" and I had to write down "Washington D. C. is the capital of the United States". After all this, he went through all the "yes and no" background questions. If you answered wrong for any of those questions when you filed your officer can correct it during the interview. After this, he approved my N-400, congratulated me, handed me the approval paper, and told me he'd schedule my oath ceremony in a few weeks.

This morning I saw an update online that my Oath Ceremony letter was mailed to me and my oath will be at the end of May at the San Antonio Courthouse.

hello fellow 2022 Oct fillers :) I shared this on the denver thread and I figured I'll post it here as well

TL;DR - Filled N-400 in 2022 Oct, Interview on 2023 Apr 6, Approved on 2023 Apr 24, Currently waiting for the oath ceremony notice

I was a N-400 2022 October filler

I got my N-400 interview NOA on 2023 Feb 27, and had my interview on April 6.

Everything went very smooth. I got to the FO at 12:15 even though my appointment time was at 12:45. I went through security check and checked in at the counter next to the it. Then I was told to head up to the second floor, and there I waited about 20 mins til I was called into the interview. The interviewer was very nice and she began the interview with the civic test so that I don't have to stress about it during the entire interview.

the questions I was asked during the civics test:

1) How many justices are on the supreme court

2) Who was the first president

3) Who is the Commander in Chief of the military

4) When is the deadline for filling taxes

5) What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence

6) When do we celebrate Independence Day

Writing test: We vote for president in November

Reading test: (honestly do not remember but it was fairly simple)

Then she went through the application paperwork with me and fixed a couple of mistakes I made.

After going through the application and some of the extra evidence that I brought with me to the interview (eg 2022 tax return, apartment lease, etc), she told me she'd review all the paperwork and notify me her decision since I also had a pending ROC and she couldn't make a decision on the spot. The entire interview lasted about 20 mins. And while my husband drove with me to the FO, he didn't actually go into the interview with me, nor the interviewer asked for his presence for the I751 interview.

A week after the interview on April 14, I logged online to see that they have sent me a RFE requesting an oath waiver. It is very weird because I didn't request for one, and I expressed multiple times during the interview that I understood and am willing to take the oath. So I wrote a statement saying that I am willing to take the oath if my application was approved. Then finally on April 24, the online case status changed to "we recommended your N-400 be approved" and that an oath ceremony will be schedule. On the same day my ROC (I-751) was also approved. So now I am just waiting for them to send me the oath ceremony details and I'll done. yay
