Chicago Field Office:

Got interview letter online yesterday - Dec 27, 2022. I also have a pending I-751 but no update to that petition. Hopefully USCIS will adjudicate together.

Me too! I was away visiting family and had no idea. The only notification that tipped me off to check was this post coming to my email, so I checked my status online and had the same thing. Thanks for sharing your update!

Once I arrived back home my letter was in the mail.

Filed based on 5 year LPR.

Filed/Biometrics: October 9, 2022

Letter: December 27, 2022

Interview: February 15, 2023

Looks like there are a few of us with that same interview date. See you all there 😆

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If you filed online, you may find a copy of this mail in the "document" section of your USCIS online account.

I had my interview today and I was approved! :) The interview was really easy, I brought all documents including copies and originals, but the officer only asked me for my 2-year and 10-year green cards and also any photos of my husband and I. I printed three pages, one for every of the last three years, but the officer only took the page from this year, I guess because the rest of the photos were in my case already.

There seemed to be some issues with the internet, so I took the oath right after the interview and got my certificate shortly after! We had to drive really far to the office, so taking the oath the same day, especially right after the interview was great.

Good luck to everyone ! :)

Congratulations !!! Glad this process is over for you :)

Is it a requirement to bring photos to the interview ? If I recall correctly they weren't mentioned on the application (based on 3 year marriage), just documents.

If you have a pending I-751 and you apply for N-400 then there is a time gap between the two. IO would like to see your marriage going strong and hence the pics since then.

I believe it’s not, but I decided to bring as much as I could think so (without going too crazy with bills etc) rather than be sorry I didn’t bring something in. Just a heads up I already have approved ROC.

I already have my 10 year green card, so I guess it just depends on the officer :) I just printed 4 pictures on one sheet of paper for every of the last three years.

It’s only needed if you are applying based on 3+ years after marriage to a US citizen. If you have a green card and is 5+ years and you are applying  based on that, then there’s no requirement for pics. I believe they do ask for marriage certificate.

Congrats to all approved this month!!! :)    Raleigh NC office is extremely slow even though it is a low volume compared to CA, Chicago and others. Timelines are on avg taking 9+ months to receive interviews. Has anyone had any experience with this Office? Please shed some light on this if you have. Thank you so much in advance.
