My husband used WF to send money to my BDO $ Dollar Account. He asked for the SWIFT code of BDO that time if I am not mistaken.

You have 2 options in withdrawing the money: thru the provided BDO Debit ATM (Forex rate is based on the bank's rate) or withdraw the $ over the counter. I did the latter.

I never pay fees. I used Remitly because no fee, then I changed to WU when they stopped charging fees and had a better exchange rate. Now I use Sendwave. I just sent 1k last night, exchange rate was 57.83 with zero fees. It was in the account in less than 30 minutes.

Of course this is USD > PHP not USD > USD.

I use Xoom to send USD to a USD account.  Fees top out at $7.99 for $2,999.  For amounts more than that, the fees force you to another method.  For atm withdrawals I use Schwab, as they refund fees and the exchange rate isn't horrible.  If I need a significant amount sent, I have used bank to bank transfer and pay the $25.

If you're in the Philippines, a regular US check deposited into your USD account is $5.  The downside you have to wait up to 30 days,

Finally done.
