According to the CDC's website, all non-immigrants who don't meet an exemption category must have a WHO-approved vaccine. So for @smoothoperaytor, your wife would be exempt because of the CR-1. And for @Lynxyonok, B1/2 holders are exempt only if their country has been designated as having limited availability - Belarus/Russia not being on that list, ironically. That latter point is why I continue to say this is a de facto ban.

So USCIS site is incorrect? Last review date 10/1/2021 so before June 2022 changes.

More it's just irrelevant to the discussion; USCIS doesn't determine whether or not they'll be able to enter the US.

I was only commenting on what the requirements are to arrive for non-immigrants; USCIS doesn't have control over what happens at the border. I always point the vaccine peculiarity out when I see it because it's just so absurd I feel like many people have forgotten about it by now. I came across my COVID doc last weekend and though it was a relic from a distant past.

In regard to the interview itself, I've heard so many conflicting things over whether the shot is needed for the exam I've given up, lol. My wife had Janssen and they indeed notated it on her form. I've heard it wasn't asked from others, but I can't even imagine the confusion that would cause if someone reviewing the records during AOS thinks it's needed. Thus, we just considered it a requirement even for the visa.
