Not really.  NS2 was never used.  And ask yourself... in the past 50 years, how many US gas pipelines just arbitrarily exploded under the sea?  Having worked in the oil fields for a bit, I can tell you that things "happen".  Absolutely.  But three explosion on two pipelines that are roughly 300' deep?  Not likely. 

Now, could NS1 have sprung a leak under 950 psi, based on its age?  Possibly.  But NS2 is brand new.  No time damage.  (Might have been pressurized, but probably not to the same pressure that gas is pumped when pipelines are in use.)

IDK.  Kinda skeptical.  I think Biden let the cat out of the bag back in February, and now we are trying to get that wet, pissed-off cat back in the bag.  All the while saying it was the Russians.  How many times have we heard THAT narrative in the past 6 years???

But it was charged with CH4 and then mothballed.  Seems reckless to put CH4 into a pipeline and then stop.

 

I was thinking about it, why would the US sabotage it and piss off the EU?  Why would Putin do it and end the extortion potential.  The hydrate thing is quite possible particularly when Putin shut down number 1.  Who knows really, though.

The CH4 was pumped thru it to test the system for all aspects of a pipeline (leaks, strength, flow rate, etc.   You wouldn't then drain the pipeline, you'd shut off the valves and leave it pressurized.  The only time that would change (as regards a petroleum pipeline) is when a pig is run thru one.  But for gas, the CH4 would remain pressurized (though I'm guessing to a MUCH lower pressure than normal operational of ~900 psi).

Why would the US do it?  To stop the flow of $$ to Russia, and perhaps to further the goal of global electrivization (my term).  
Why would Russia do it?  Can't think of a reason.  NS1 is a revenue source for them.  If they wished to hurt the EU, all they had to do was stop pumping.  Why destroy the "truck" that delivers the goods?  

The only other thing I can imagine is that it was funded by the WEF to facilitate their goals.  Lord help us if it was actually that.  Much worse than #1.

I don’t entirely disagree, but it is a possibility.  If in fact the US did it for some stupid “green” reason and it is found out, the US government should be responsible for every cold weather death in Europe this Winter.

HOPEFULLY, it was just a fluke accident.  Once.  Twice.  Three times. (Bad things DO happen in threes, right?)

Logic, however, dictates otherwise.  And I don't hold our government in very high regard right now.  I'd love to be proven wrong...

How will we find out for certain?  Whistleblower?  If these were deliberate acts, I doubt that the truth can be hidden forever.  Of course, truth can be buried as "conspiracy theory".

Keep in mind as the article pointed out, we are dealing with Russia, and in fact a Russia at war.  Leaders there are playing games with things like these pipelines, and giving orders to engineers, technicians and scientists that might have doubts about questioning those orders even if they understand there could be catastrophic results.

Probably, but it is still a possibility that something else could have happened.  I looked at a map of where the leaks occurred, and they were fairly close to some significant bends in the pipeline.  Then again, the US, or maybe even the Saudi's could have done it as they probably benefit the most.  Hearing the "green" propaganda from the Bidenistas is really telling, and of course hearing folks like Jake Sullivan throw out the whole "Russian Collusion" label makes me lose even more faith in anything DC.  I do doubt this was a US military operation, but I suppose the CIA could have some contractors available that could do something like what happened.
