I've been dating my SO since 1999. Back then it was Online Chat. Then it progressed to AIM (which is what it's been since). Every once in a while we'll do video chat, but being on Dialup (me) meant it wasn't all that great.

I really don't know how it lasted so long with using only AIM. Kinda weird :P For a while, we also had Pokerstars and last year we (myself and some friends ;p) finally convinced him to get into World of Warcraft.... till the computer decided to break down. So now he's using a comp that can't handle it x.X

Let me tell you though, WoW is great if you can play it :) And if you get a Vent or Teamspeak server, it's just as good as Skype :) (course, I guess any sort of MMORPG would work)

The Beginning

September 29th, 1999 - 'hooked' up with Dave after chatting with him for about a year online.

October 23rd, 2004 - September 29th, 5 years to the day, he proposed to me =D

July 23rd, 2005 - Dave comes over for the wedding on July 27th at the beach :)

Sometime in December, he sends off I-130 to Texas and promptly leaves me in the dark like a mushroom x.X...

The Saga Continues *dumdeduuummm*

August - phone NVC. intriguing :\ Phoned again, ah hah! the truth... no record of us >< losers... Go and visit Dave for 3 months...

End of January, we sent the petition back in again. 2 weeks later, we actually get a number in our hot little hands.

April 5th - NOA2 approved!

April sometime, received and sent back Choice of Agent

May 18th - Received IV Bill

May 28th - Sent IV Bill MO back

June 11th - DS-230 generated

July 12th - Received and sent back DS-230 packet

July 19th - NVC Sent Husband checklist of AoS. They forgot to fill in N/A fills with.... N/A x.X

July 23rd - DS-230 entered

July 26th - NVC received checklist regarding financial suppliment (ie, got a talking to on the phone :P)

August 1st - sent financial papers back

August 3rd - (Automatic msg) Financial records lacking! ARGH!~

I'm the panicer and my fiance is the relaxed one about this. Fortunately, we live together, so we do a lot of things together and it keeps our mind off the situation quite a lot, including looking after out cat and her sweet week only kittens!

Every morning I check the status on the USCIS website and we tell ourselves that the wait is normal and not to fret too much. We then work on projects (we work from home), play world of warcraft together, go to museums and go into town.

Basically he stops me from panicing all the time about every little detail. We also talk to his family almost all night once a week over the internet. His mom has just decorated a room for us and a room for my son, so she's been telling me all about that. Also wedding plans!

This wait is driving me insane as I just want to get the wedding planned, dress sorted, choose a venue..etc. The hold up is making it difficult to get the finer points sorted and we just want the closure on this now so we can get it all sorted out and get married! All we want to do is spend the rest of our lives together.

Yes! We actually sit next to one another and play WoW! We only picked it up last week as my new computer won't run our old fave, diablo 2. We pick things up for one another and make items for eachother all the time.

Really happy he sold 20 oily blackmouths as he gave me four gold just out of love. Woohoo!

Short answer: Sane? People stay sane during this process? SANITY IS OVERRATED!

Long answer:...

I have no idea. I definitely liked the drinking idea. I had two jobs for two months but now I'm down to one...and now that our case has been forwarded to Egypt I told him the rest is up to him and I've got a wedding to plan. LOL.

Actually, my mom and I are in the process of remodeling our downstairs so my fiance and I can get some privacy and turn my current bedroom either into a study or a tiny home gym.

Working out helps. Just before I'd last visited my fiance I ordered a brand new elliptical machine and when I got home it had been delivered and set up already :)

The good thing is that I have a new job that keeps me really busy...even though sometimes you'll find me on VJ in the middle of the day ;)

It gets easier after NOA2, for some reason.

Divorced. To hell with him.

I'm sane because we had a talk about the process and I asked him, do you see us married in the future and he says yes. I treaded carefully and asked my baby gently, do you WANT to be married to me and he said he wants to be married to me but he wants to do the asking. I usually asked him because I don't see me living with anyone else for the rest of my life like I want to be with him. Because of what he said, I am flying! :luv:

It's not easy...being able to talk to her on a daily basis has been a blessing. Her boss at work is pretty nice so we are able to talk online thankfully. Then on the weekends I usually stay up as late as I can to talk to her, then she will do the same for me. There are also phone calls. I really wish the time would fly by though because I really miss her. Since I started my new job, it's pretty much impossible to get any time off. I was thinking of flying there over a long weekend (Thanksgiving or Labor Day), just to spend one full day with her.
