Hi

I know in the great scheme of things, where to get decent curry is the least of my problems - BUT - I am really going to miss the amazing curry restaurant in my current hometown. From what my fiance tells me, the food in the Nashville restaurants he has sampled don't compare in any way.

If anyone in Nashville (or nearby) knows of a good, authentic, Indian take away or restaurant please share your secret with me. I am learning to cook more dishes and already cook a fair few at home but sometimes it's just great to go to a good indian restaurant and have it all done properly.

:-)

Thank you

:luv:

Ok, so here are the two suggestions from my friend:

either Cuisine of India (on 21st, near Vanderbilt) or Woodlands (on West End).

Hope that helps!!! :)

Based on UK distributions of Indian restaurants (a higher proportion of South Indian/North Indian than you typically find in US), the Woodlands is probably the better bet (all resto's of that name are South Indian vegetarian)

Thanks - I will tell my fiance. He actually thought the other one sounded better (based solely on the name). I think he'll try Woodlands first.

That's brilliant, many many thanks, I have now located Marmite, Heinz beans, ryvita and now CURRY...... life is great

That's terrible - no crispy duck and pancakes? No chow mein? (mmmmm am now hungry for crispy duck and it's not even 10 am yet!!!)

My fiance tried the woodlands btw and he said it's GREAT.... so I am looking forward to trying it. Such a shame though that I will be leaving the best indian restaurant in all of Christendom! It really is soooo delicious and the only one I like going to. *sigh*

Hopefully, I will cope and not get serious withdrawal symptoms.

Good luck with your search for some decent chinese food though, that's a hard one because some chinese places are really nasty and it's such a gamble.
