What are the procedures when passing through Immigration immediately after arrival at the Port of Entry (in this case Los Angeles International Airport - LAX and CR-1 Visa).

What are the procedures when passing through Immigration immediately after arrival at the Port of Entry (in this case Los Angeles International Airport - LAX and CR-1 Visa).

There are two terminals that do international arrivals. Generally, just get in the foreigner line with your sealed envelope and they'll take care of everything else. One caution is that you don't want to leave the area unless they've taken your envelope, (kept it) stamped your passport and stamped your I-94 with the correct date and stapled it in your passport.

My wife and daughter's packages were not taken, their I-94's were stamped with a date that doesn't exist on any calendar and then not stapled in their passports. (at LAX Tom Bradley Terminal)

It is very similar to other POE's... Best advice is to just follow the crowd and they will lead you to where you need to go.... Get in the appropriate line and wait your turn...
