That's one thing I like about Brazil, taxes are included in the price, so when you order a $5 meal at McD's, you can give them a $5 bill and that's it.

I went to McDonalds this morning to get a sausage mcmuffin. The price on the board was $2.89 for the meal but I was charged $3.59. When I asked the lady she said their prices have gone up. So I said well shouldn't you charge the price you advertise? She then proceeded to turn into a complete beoyatch. Told me it was already in the computer and there was nothing she could do about itI didn't get the food I was so mad that she was being a b. So I called the manager and he said he doesn't know why she did that the price hasn't changed. #######? I didn't care that much that it was more I was more peeved that she had the nerve to get all crappy with me when I asked. I'm never going there again.

just ponder this.....if she had a plethora of brain cells, would she be working at mcd's?

When my fiance went to KFC for the first time in the US he was completely shocked by not only the limited choices in food, but by the TERRIBLE customer service.

I've been overcharged a few times in fast food places. The worst place that overcharges me, though, isn't a fast food place, it's WALMART. We just got a brand new SuperCenter in March and I've already been overcharged 4 times, and I'm not one of the people that goes there every single day. Next time I will definitely talk to someone higher up. I mean, it's only by a few dollars, but still, WalMart is rich enough!

One thing I noticed about McDonalds is that in the UK it cost say 5.25GBP for a big mac meal and it costs the same here in the US $5.25.... but if you convert the money it would be like paying $10.50 in the US for the same thing... in theory in the UK it should cost 2.72GBP.... some profit being made...

I feel the same way!

McMurder.....did your food have a face?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I remember being super embarrassed the first time I went to a supermarket in US (I was an exchange student in AZ in 1996) to buy myself some girl stuff and I had like a $20 bill and I bought $19 worth of products and the cashier said the total was 20 something, and I was "wha? no, it's $19!" and I didn't have the money for the whole thing and had to put stuff back. Of course people stared at me in line and I felt so stupid.

You can never go wrong with the dollar menu. LOL thats why its the dollar menu. At least they cant charge me more than a dollar. $1.08 including tax for a double cheese burger or a spicy Mc Chicken. =0)

McDonald's has a dollar menu? Geez, where have I been? I thought that was only a Wendy's thing. I guess I need to go to McDonald's more often.

Well, in Brazil if you order a .99 cent hamburguer from the dollar menu, it actually costs .99 cents, and not 1.08, which makes a difference if you only have a one dollar bill (has happened to me as a student).

All places of a fast food bring the big harm for an organism of the person. .. The Wise decision of you to not come back to these places. Take care!

Sales tax is different from state to state and even city to city. That's why it's not included in the price; we do expect people to be capable of simple arithmetic.

I'm just sad they don't have my favourite fast-food guilty pleasure here...the Zinger Tower Burger.... yum!
