univted 11, Congratulations on your approval and welcome to the USA. I researched for you and here is the link on the AOS guide and process. It says that most K3s and K4s start adjusting status as soon or right after their arrival into the states. http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k3k4visa-aos.html

If this link is not helpful I would maybe repost the same questions in the AOS forums as well. Good luck on the remainder of your journey.

Mary

Thx a lot for ur help Mary. I truly appreciate it.

Good Luck! :luv:

Hello all,

I havent posted in a while yet again.

Reason is I am withdrawing my case....my husband turned out to be a slimeball who only marryied me for a greencard. I feel so hurt and abused but happy that I found out before he came to the USA.

But I'll end with, Allah does what HE does for the best, and this is best for mw....INshAllah I pray for the best for all of you.

Right now: Trying to get out from crazy lawyer uncles control and find happiness with my husband!

Aww Freeni I am so very sorry if that is the case. No one should have to endure all of this and then find out that your spouse was untrue. This process is already so hard and the heartache on top of it is not easy. I will be praying for you and wishing you all the best and keep the faith with God/Allah. (L)

Hugs,

Mary

yes I was used, his agenda was to come here, make me stop working and not talk to anyone and just stay at home and tak care of his elderly aunt and uncle.

He would tell me not to wear American clothes and not talk to other men....even my brothers and dad!

this is so sad, but I'm keeping my head high and looking to the future.

freeni, that is soooo bad to hear. :( ,

but cheer up inshallah, allah (swt) has someone better planned in your life.

my wife's I-129f got approved, on the 22nd of feb :) and it was sent to the NVC. and i have a couple of questions. please.

1. the approval notice is good for only 4 months, right.

2. Do you think we will have an interview date by begining or mid may. ( can we request a certain interview date) :D

I need to let my employer know what weeks i need off, so i can go to our interview.

3. do women usually go thru the AR too.

4. what can i do to speed up the process of getting an interview date asap.

jazakallah khair in advance,

rmash congrats on your wife's I 129F approval.

1. Not sure of time but it should be at the embassy soon. The timeline on the approvals means it should be at the embassy and in progress. The embassy can extend the NOAs so no problems there.

2. Right now they are backlogged and some visa interviews since December have been rescheduled. I know of a K1 that was to interview last week and the embassy cancelled it and rescheduled it for end of this month.

3. I know some spouses have attended the interviews.

4. I have heard of only one lady getting AR from the embassy in Islamabad.

5. Sorry you will not be able to expedite the interview. Perdesi was in Pakistan and tried and had to come back to the states since the embassy is backed up with cases.

I am sure someone else will give you some input but this is what I know from others I have spoken too. Good luck and pray for patience and understanding during the last of your processing.

Mary
