BTW, does anyone know if Islamabad Embassy allows Direct Consular Filing if the petitioner is living in the US? It's way too late for me to do that now, but I'm just curious if I should kick myself for not doing it. :-)

From my understanding, DCF is not allowed in Islamabad.

Yes DCF is allowed in ISL if the USC spouse has LIVED in Pakistan over 6 months.

but, to be successful the USC would have to maintain residence both in the USA as well as

pakistan to avoid Domicile issues. to complicate matters because, of the exensive security checks

that " men are placed on " DCF is impossible and not worth the efferts making it USLESS. DCF is a possible

option if the USC is "MALE" this is rare because, he USC MALE would have to maintain both residences.

The fact of the matter is the Female < alien> will be issued visa at the interview. unless there was some document request from the CO.

DCF is designed to allow the spouse to be interviewed and visa issued in a matter of

days or a few weeks. providing there are no security issues and no complications the visa is issued quickly.

Under certain circumstances, a petitioner may file the Form I-130 with the US embassy ISL

Well, she wants to say here. May be she is in Pakistan (as she declared in her previous posts) and she doesn’t have access to the system (computer or internet) over there as she used to have in U.S. lol

So do not expect frequent posts from her.

Michigan I see you heard back from the CSC on your I 130. I keep checking in daily to see if you have any news.

I am hoping that late next week or the first of the month all of the AR/APs get some good news. Everyone hang in there.

Mary
