Well canuhandleit, if your father was told to submit fullset of FPs, The FPs are sent to the FBI in the mail. Thats how the enter it "manually"

depends on..

if the prints were taken ink or digital.

if ink sent in and its transposed to digital format.

if digital its sent straight to NVC then to FBI. its a quick step.

because, NVC dont document having received the prints.

Well Shon! The full set of finger prints are always done with ink at the Islamabad embassy. I dont have information about other embassies, even the biometrics in the US are also done on ink.

Only the index fingers are processed digitally. The finger Prints from the NVC are sent to the FP center in Clarksburgh West Virginia where they are processed!

I have to disagree. the website " pakistans" mention this :

Two fingerprints will be collected from each applicant by using a scanner. No ink will be used, and the process will take only seconds. Prints of the right and left index fingers of applicants will be taken.

I work for an airline! we use a finger print scanning machine. for all employees. it reads the prints and sets it to digital format. our machine is also linked to the FBI and etc.....

I forgot to add. cleared fingerprint checks are also located on the TSA website. but, its listed as numbers

so no real point in looking.

you can disagree all you want! Because I KNOW that you do nothing but give mis information and act like you are a GOD of immigration! lol!

I have given finger prints! You havent. FBI FPs are collected on card with ink ( if full set is needed and then sent to FBI). How do I know? I submitted these FPs myself! and several members will agree to what I have to say!

Very good .. so you got everything done? What are you doing these days working/studying?

Here is my two cents for you.

Try to get as much information about the profession you have to pick once you will be here.

If you have time then do some crash computer courses (Microsoft Office)

I thought you are only 18 years old. Anyway, good to hear that you got A+ and CCNA certifications. Where you live in Pakistan? As you in IT related work below is the URL for you to hunt job (www.workjunction.com). Most of IT related jobs are available only in Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad.

ok.. very good.

when the FBI gets these prints because they are ink they have to be transposed to

digital format. I dont rember how long it takes but, it takes some time.

then its process in 24 hours. once cleared its placed on the TSA website.

but its listed as a number so there is no way of telling if its you. but the agencys know.
