we were placed on adminstrative processing a week ago :(

Oh yeah, they only stamped the passport... that's weird I thought they take it. How long of a wait could this be? My father's name is very uncommon for the most part, so, i'm hoping it won't be too long.

Canuhandleit, dont worry. Its not you its everyone! Dont worry and relax! I told you everyone is going into admin processing. Honestly since your father was in the US for a long while just like me. Not to discourage you, but the admin processing might take longer than usual too ( I pray if doesnt, but want you to be ready for everything).

So give us the interview details, what all was asked? Also did they tell him no waivers needed?

Yeah, they told him no waivers needed. It's hard to relax michigan, it's completely different when it depends on my mother's health. I just came back today and she told me her "problem" is increasing even more and that she may need to be hospitalized at any time (although she should have been treated a year ago, but my dad left and she has no time since she is required to give 15-17 hours a day to the family business). Understand the dillema? I could wait it out if health wasn't a problem, but i'm worried... i don't know what her problem is but I can pretty much guess it's pertaining to menopause or something along those lines.

I honestly dont know what u mean by Visa symbol and what f31 stands for! Shed some light on it! What do u mean by that. Also if a case number was issued start calling DOS to see the status on the security checks.

I would suggest getting a letter from your mother's physician, to request embassy to expedite, but honestly I dont think it will help and think its a waste of time. As my wife had more serious problems than your mother and the doctor wrote a very good letter stating that the one of the causes of her poor health is the absence of her husband. Well the embassy in simple word said, we dont give a rat's behind and we will take our own sweet time!

For people like Shonjaved who have been waiting almost 10 months, you should try filing a "Writ of Mandamus". A user on immigrate2us.net did it successfully, cutting down waiting time increasingly. I say anybody that has been waiting 8+ weeks should look into filing a "writ of mandamus" if you know your not a terrorist (haha).

 I cant. the bottom line is security checks. as long as there are security checks I can do nothing.

The infamouse excuse " admin review". a Writ of Mandamus is used to compell the agency to make a

decision. in other words if they said They will issue the visa. made me wait some obscene time just to have the stamp in the passport. then I would for sure have grounds to file Writ of Mandamus. I dont think my situation is a canidate for Writ of Mandamus.
