Hi michigan, I see your timeline starts from 2004. If you were married 4 years ago, why didn't ypu apply for him sooner? Or is it that immigration took you 4 years? I don't think it can take that long. I am sorry to hear this but can u plz tell me what happened in your case and why 4 yrs? Did u apply after 2 yrs of being married or what?

If you were on F1 then you didn’t complete your degree? I think you didn’t graduate that was the reason you didn’t get a change to move towards OPT or H1. By the way which school you attended in MI?

afif..sounds like everything is fine. you got the 221g admin. processing this is the steps..

now comes the security checks. once done they willl call you in and issue the visa.

in the mean time you gotta wait til the checks are done. in about 2 weeks or so.

have your wife call Department of state and check on if the security checks are cleared.

thats all you can do til this mess is over. have patients its gonna take several months. (F)

The visa Adjudication Process- Flow chart

1. The process starts when the applicant schedules a visa interview.

2. Applicant goes to post

3. Us. Embassy./ U.S. consulate- consular section

4. Applicant is reviewed by consular officer and name entered into CLASS. Applicant interviewed at post.

5. Consular officer deterimines if the applicant is eligible to receive the visa, including using discretion to determine if a security advisory option <SAO> maybe needed: this would include looking on the Technology Alert List < TAL> to see if field/ area of study of applicant falls under TAL.

6. If SAO is not needed then…consular officers decide to issue or deny the visa.<<<< the end >>>> OR

7. If SAO is needed…..then Inter- Agency Mantis check.

8. Security Advisory Opinion prepared and forwarded to post.

9. Consular officer then decides to issue or deny visa to applicant.

Finally a Good news here. AP/AR is completed both at DOS and Embassy. My Husband's case got adjudicated, and they gonna issue the visa soon, or I think they already have. But again this is verbal information and nothing in written yet. So hope they don't change mind again like they did a while ago.

All you out there, Be patient, GOD IS GREAT!!!
