SAO is not a check! It is a short for Security Advisory opinion. This is the cable that the embassy gets regarding the security clearance. The Advisory opinion ADVICES the embassy on whether to issue visa or what action to take against the applicant!

PS you wrote a paper on Pakistan! I live in Pakistan! :) So who is the better person to analyze the situation! And its Pakistan.. not Packistan!

you may live in PK but its clearly you dont pay attention to the enviroment around you.

the web site I found are from YOUR own goverment and green peace.

Shon its spelt "ignorant".

Anyways.... There are two sorts of Visas that are issued at the US consulates. The department of State divides them into two categories:

Immigrant Visa

Non-Immigrant Visa

Though K-1 and K-3 visas are Non-immigrant visas (as applicants adjust status in the US). They are processed by the Immigrant Visa section also knowsn IV section.

Hope this information is helpful!

Shonnies news :

From Congressman to Embassy:

This is in response to your inquiry of May 23,2006, concering K-3 visa case of Bingo.

Bingie contacted you reguarding this case.

We are currently Processing the applicants immigrant visa applicaton under I-130 petition.

Thus, the applicants k-3 visa petition will be returned to the Bureau of citizenshio and immigration

services( BCIS formerly INS).

Bingos immigrant visa application is currently undergoing necessary adminstrative processing

as part of the security clearance procedure. Adminstarative Processing is an interagency process that generally takes a minimum of 6 weeks and has no maximum time limit. The processing is not done at post ISL , but rather takes place in DC. Thus, vis applicant affected by additional screen should expect delays before the case is concluded. it is diffucult to predict the amount of time the clearance process will take.

Once the adninstrative processing is complete we will contact the applicant.

we hope this information is helpful - blah blah.

sincerely,

we dont give a Chop fk ISL embassy

this is the e mail i recieved from the embassy in georgia today. At least they responded back i just emailed them yesterday :D

Dear Ms denali,

Thank you for you e mail requarding Mr asads visa. Right now his case in under adiministrative processing. It is a procedure that sometimes is required for certain cases, however it is impossible to say how long it will take. Each case is different, so the time frame for such procedure differs alot as well.

We appreciate your patience. Immigrant visa unit will contact Mr asad directly when the administrative processing on his case is done.

sincerely

blah blah blah

Now i guess the next thing to do is call the dos to see if the security checks were ordered?
