What is the requirement to obtain a PCC from Karachi? My husband needs this very soon. Please reply asap. He went to the police station and they are asking for 30,000 of his money. Is this the correct fee?? They also said he must bring two witnesses with him. Please can anyone help?

I talked to sameer and told him that for PCC he will have to show the letter from embassy regarding the required documents.

First of all your husband has to go to Deputy Police officer(D.P.O) office for this as i told him before.

30,000 is not the fee somebody trying to charge extra money the fee is in hundreds,i dont remeber how much exactly it was but i m sure it was just in hundreds.

No need to get 2 witness in my state,i dont think so it would be necessary in his state too.

Just tell him to go to D.P.O office,get the PCC form there.Then he will have to show the letter from embassy or NVC(in which the PCC requirement would be mention) his 2 pics(Blue back ground) ID copy and fee in hundreds thats it.

when did u get field investigation and what they did in that investigation?

Somebody seems to be trying to rip you all off 4 some extra cash. Jamshed tried to get his police letter but they said to come back in a few weeks with proof that he needs it. Now how long does it take for them to issue this letter? I read it takes a long time.

It takes a few weeks, email the embassy at pakivqery@state.gov to confirm they received your petiton. Once they recieve it they should mail it out soon.

they should not charge you any money , although they might delay it a bit. Your husband if he lives in pakistan should know somebody that can go with him the to police station.

My wife needed the witnesses, so my father in law took like a neighbor.

When sending emails, put the ISL Case # in the subject line and include the Case #, applicants name and date of birth with the question. But - be prepared for canned/scripted responses.

I was not asked NVC for any kind of fee. Is that normal? they tranfered my case within a week without asking for anything at all.
