salaam everyone

just want everyone to know my huby got his visa today in hand!

our AP is over! alhum. hes been in AP since july 08. and today his visa was issued! alhumdulillah..

all i can say is never give up and keep praying to Allah. he is the most powerful!

just to let u know

his interview in chennai was perfect. nothing wrong. everything in order and did not request any doc. i was present with him also.

but cousular officer said i am confident you will get ur visa but i have to do some admin processing on your case, and it will take 4-6 weeks. but it actually took 5 months!!

so dont woryy ppl inshallah the visa will come but keep in touch with embassy and dos even though dos is not helpful at all..

guys i need some tip about this, my wife contacted her senator about our case( pending for AP )

they said it will take two weeks atleast,then on 20oct2008 the case manager fax a letter to my wife that this case is pending for security clearance from wishington DC ( acutally the senator's office contacted the embassy , and it was the reply from the embassy ), and i didn't knew to whom to contact in washington DC. and i came to know DOS's number when i joined this forum and tehn my wife called taht number and the operator said that she shou7ld contact the senator or congressman of my wife state to make queries about our case. now when my wife contacted that same lady from that senator's office, that lady said that we cann't make another query right now because youhave to wait for six month from the date of first query. is that true ???? i am having a feeling that she didn't want to help thats why she said that

what should i do know plz guys tell me to do something except contacting the other senator and congressman because that our next target.

Contacting your senator or congressman will only have them write or call the embassy and the embassy will tell them that you are in AP. If you call too many people and get them involved it only slows down the case and then the embassy will not talk to you anyore. Each case is different but when the case is in AP for name checks they do not like all the calls. When a congressional inquiry is made on your behalf even the embassy will not deal with the elected official but after so much time elapses. In a few rare cases they do talk to the elected officials if they have your name cleared sooner even before they notify the applicant. I have seen where someone contacted both elected officials and when one talked to the embassy they other was told that another person was involved and they would not talk with the second official/ or the second official just said I cannot help you since you have already got xxx person helping in your case.

Sorry, but right now all you really can do is to wait out the processing.

august 2004 I-129 filed (neb)

DEC 2004 Approved

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.

Yea what else can I do? no choice but to wait! :blush: What piss me off is them not replying to emails or answering my phone calls. I stayed up till very late lastnite. Kept on calling them but my call just dont get thru for whateva reason. I did get thru one time but the operator cudn't hear me. So she hung up :(

I guess now immona Fax them :lol: See if that works. :bonk:

Hubby and I are just finishing month 5 of waiting for his 10 yr card... Inshallah will happen before we apply for citizenship!

12-23-05 45 day minimum - only fingerprints are back

12-30-05 Still waiting for results at DOS

01-23-06 I-130 Approved (via email on Friday the 13th) (Got to NVC 2/6/06)

01-27-06 Still Waiting - 80th day of A/R

02-08-06 You have got to be kidding me.......

02-16-06 Receive letter from Embassy to return with emails and passports! (DOS complete 1/12/06)

02-19-06 Flight from Karachi to Islamabad

02-21-06 Drops off recent chats and old passport at Embassy

02-21-06 Embassy Issues Visa!!! YaaaaFreeeakinHooo!

02-22-06 Flight from ISL to Karachi (dont get me started on why they could not just hand him his passport yesterday)

02-23-06 - Argue with AMEX for an hour to make them look for the embassy shipment

02-28-06 - He's here..... now off to AOS!

05-12-06 - EAD Card Received

07-23-06 - After 10 weeks, SSN in hand!

07-25-06 - AOS Interview

07-25-06 - AOS 'semi-approved' waiting FBI name check GRR!!

09-23-06 - Welcome Notice in the Mail!!!

08-04-08 NOA 1 Removing Conditions

08-28-08 Bio Appt

01-02-09 Nothing, not even a touch! I was really hoping one step would go smooth.

01-27-09 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!! Yaahoo, finally!!! Next Step Naturalization.

11-09-09 N-400 Delivered - Phoenix

03-16-10 Oath Ceremony - Denver CO - DONE! DONE! DONE!

Surely Bhabi Laney Denver would have notified for an appointment time. I keep fingers and prayer for you. I remeber they took the same flight out of Islammabad to London almost 3 yrs ago ,small world.

Hello Guys!

Embassy emailed me to send them orignal documents for additional process.While my name check is processig in Washington D.C.

How much time they will take to comeplete it normally?

I am panicking. Embassy is saying they dont have my documents & Amex is saying they sent it for sure. I just dont know what to do & who to believe. :blush: Just a thought of having to re do everything is giving me a headache. :crying:
