I told u that you should not care abt that, its not true.

If u think thats right then confirm it yourself. But i dont think so that it would be right.

Well u know what?I love to talk and love to listen things logicaly.Emotions and prayers are very imoprtant but fact is always fact.

SO,

1-According to my experience AP are taking 6 months normally, you can aslo check it your self there r few which could not get visas in this time limit like Revived brother and this is rediculous.they should give the visa normally in 6 months.

2-And those case which r taking longer so it means there is something in thier name checks or security checks etc..

For example when i was giving my finger print there was a lady who was giving her finger prints before me at that time she could not give her finger print in time and the lady who was taking her finger prints was not clearing her and asking her to giver her prints again and again. It took round abt more than 20mins.

It means if someone finger prints is not clear at that time then it is hitting some where in thier system.Thats why it took longer.

Just like this name checks and other matters can take longer.

3-If you will read the visa bulletin then you will see they have fix the specific numbers of immigrants & non immigrants.Obviously US embassy is the most bussiest embassy in the world,They cannot issue the visa for everyone in one time.

4-FBI & DOS has now a joint plant to eliminate backlog of FBI name checks to reduce the time limit and they have set up a target. They announced this joint plant on April 2,2008.

MAY 2008: Process all name checks pending more than 3 years.

JULY 2008: Process all name checks pending more than 2 years.

NOVEMBER 2008: Process all name checks pending more than 1 year.

FEBRUARY 2009: Process all name checks pending more than 6 months.

JUNE 2009: Process 98% of all name checks within 30 days and process the remaining 2 % with in 3 months.

This is the key information which i have pasted here for you all.I m giving these info on the basis of their own records not from myside.

So plz just get together here like a family and plz plz plz pray everybody for everyone here.

Shakira, most IV cases are taking 1 - 2 months for an interview from the time the case is finalized. Your interview will come soon and like you said ladies do not have to worry as much as males about AP.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Yes your are correct in the majority of the backlogged cases are for Naturalization cases. A friend of my husband was in AP over 3 years because of name checks and he had a lawyer and went to Atlanta, GA frequently and they could not get him cleared. He was just able to get citizenship and upgrade his petition for his wife. His wife and son are in Pakistan awaiting interview on IR-1 now.

They are also trying to get the backlogged cases

NOVEMBER 2008: Process all name checks pending more than 1 year.

FEBRUARY 2009: Process all name checks pending more than 6 months.

JUNE 2009: Process 98% of all name checks within 30 days and process the remaining 2 % with in 3 months.

these would effect all applicants that are in name checks and am hoping that they follow through and reunite many of you that are still waiting.

Revived or ne k1 filer, Question 4 u guys about packet 3. What forms does the beneficiary have to send back to the Embassy? If I remember correctly the beneficiary has to mail some documents back to the the Embassy after getting packet 3 rite? What documents/forms exactly?

Also, what is the phone number/Email address of ISL Embassy?

This morning I met n old friend of mine & guess what? He is going thru this same AP bulsh|t. His fiancee had her interview in June & has been on AP since. No khan, Mohd or Ali in her last name & no stamp of ne country on her passport, so no travel. He has no clue why She is on AP

Sister!

Medical report would be ok and just be confident and just keep in mind in ur interview you just have to tell them truth.

You should also keep remember what you have filled in ur I 130 Petition & 1 129F.

Take all the related documents which can be relevant for your case, also take the orignal if u still have anything.

1-Dont take bags with you ,you just to keep plastic bags or any transparent documents files.

2-Pics,Letters,Cards,chatting record(But the most common thing which they would be really intrested in to see the pics of ur weddings.

Sister you should not worry abt to take someone with u its your examination n u have to prove that u r brave and confident and u can do it ur self. There should be only one thing in ur mind that u have to give ur 100% and u have to meet ur husband (InshaAllah!) :star:

One more thing if u r comfortable to talk in english then my suggestion is that give ur interview in english coz then you can convey ur message directly to CO.

I will pray for u  Best of luck sister!

A new check called Material Support was started about one and half years back. It is a check to make sure that any family members have willingly or unwillingly given money to any charity or organization that Al Quaida (sp?) or terrorist group. This one check can cause delays for ladies.

Rabi, try and be strong and say a prayer for strength before your exam and interview and you should do fine. Actually the interviewer is usually very relaxed and like talking to an old friend.

Salam All,

Well, I am just sitting two days away from my drive to Islamabad... and of course, freaking out.

And praying.

I wanted to ask those of you who've had their interviews, how many pictures of the wedding and Valeema did you take with you? I am looking for the exact number of pictures you took.

JazakAllah.
