Salam all,

Had my medical today. They charged me 9,000 (almost) because I received some vaccinations too. I kept telling them my case is K-3, which doesn't require vaccinations... but they were adamant, and my husband kept telling me it's going to help us... so, as much as I hate injections, I got myself poked SIX times within a minute.

But overall, the experience was okay, Alhamdulillah.

I have submitted today the missing orignal document,my passport and as well as Application ,letter of my wife & doctor's letters to AEMX.

I have sent my passport as CO told me that i could send them my passport with missing document.

AMEX again charged Rs.1000 for passport.

I wrote the application to American Consular Officer regarding the emergency and letter of my wife and doctors report in which they can again clearly see that how much pain we are in.

I hope they will listen to me and will reply me as soon as.

My husband got his visa today, after waiting for 15 days for AMEX to call. He has a cr-1 visa but it says its only good for one year residence. I thought a cr-1 was good for 2 years. Does anybody know if it should be for one year or two? If its suppose to be for 2 years should we mention it at the port of entry?

Congratulations!

The visa in the passport always says it is good for one year. Once you activate it and come to the USA you use it for proof until your green card arrives usually 4 - 6 weeks after the POE. The one year notation gives you plenty of time while waiting on the actual card. The actual green card shows a 2 year validity date.

Have a safe trip home.

Hi, it should be for 2 years. Maybe you should call the embassy and ask them before incase they tell you to bring it in to fix.

Can you tell me when your husbands interview was and if and how long the AP was for? Just trying to get ideas of what is happening over there. Thanks alot! and good luck!

Thank you so much mary. We are hoping to get tickets tomorrow and fly home together the next coming week. To answer choo-choo's question. Our interview date was end of august, he was on ap for 66 days. Hope you all get your visa's soon.

Hi!

Its wrong.Just dont worry abt it. Just pray and hope for the best.

Personaly i think and very sure abt it that most of the cases will get thier visas in 6 months after interview.Coz it seems like that.

My prayers & best wishes r with u n with everyone.

Sibtain

Sibtain,

u r right about ladies when u say 'most' ...but 4 males unfortunatley... it's MIN 6mons.. and most likely it will b more than 6mons.. that is if your AP is for name clearance! at times AP is for other reasons such as missing docs etc that is only when i see it clearing in less than 6mons... if ur male and get ur visa @ the end of 6mons consider urself a fortunate pal! lets hope ur AP is not name check!!

all males.. i recommend that u n ur spouse prepare yourselves for worst... and expect to wait for more than 6mons... ! As Mary said.. prepare for worst=) it won't b as heart breaking..!

tkc n duas,

bayshuk my dear sister..

i was just sayin' if one is prepared for the worst.. and God forbid when it comes.. we dun feel so dishearted. because we r mentally prepared for it! . by no means i m to imply 'mayosi' magr har waqat kay liyay tayaar rahna chahiyay... and indeed we culd only pray, decisions and faislay laina wala tu Allah rabul izat hain and He only knows what is best for us. We all should b hopeing and making dua for good. At times things dun go right, but us mey bhi hamari hi afiyat hoti hai bayshuk! ..

i'A i will b goin' to Hajj in a week or so and i'A will make dua for all of you.. may Allah help you all and i hope and pray that i hear many good news from all of you when i come back.

Sibtain brother, may Allah SWT reward your wife w/sehat and Mary's son w/health, and all others who r in AP will b prayin' for all! i'A

you r r sweet heart @ Rabi... a girl w/strong faith may Allah give you barkat ~Ameen

Per a ISL email:

Could this mean they are processing all of us who have been waiting to get out of A/P that have k visas?
