it all depends on ur congressman.. there r instances when they have assisted!! just this one girl in my state was able to expedite through her district congressman and was successful

these guys in PA were able to expedite the interview dates for their wives through their congressman !

though there r rare chances that it will b expedited but it wouldn't harm 'trying' i myself been in AP for much long .. nearly 12 mons now.. and have not been successful (honestly didn't even try congressman or any1 else) but given ur situation i tihnk it wuldn't harm u in trying ... kia hoga? no help?! so what at least tommorrow u culd say to urself i even tried that!

How sweet you all are.Really you all can feel my pain but not they who put on AP.

Well i m praying very deeply not only for myself but for all bros & sis who are passing through this dark hole which is very painfull and even cannot explainable.

hey one more question. Do you guys know how long the office keeps the passport before you can pick it up? Is it ok if she waits a week? Or will they send it back? Is there some sort of deadline? (where the embassy sends the passport for pickup)

i told u before i submitted my passport on 27th of october and today is 14 of november , i still havent got it yet , lets hope and pray for the best , calling them is useless coz it wont speed things , they do things the way they want it to do , i even call 3 days ago , embassy told me we have received ur passport , medical and police report on 4th of november , and i sent it on 27th of october , he told me we have one guy reviewing all those documents and we have 100s and 100s of application so we need to see all those things that can take time , i asked him can u mention me any time he told me we can't mention any time coz its something no one can predicts , once your documents are reviewed you will hear from us

Got a call from AMEX this morning to come collect my interview letter. The interview is on 26th of November, closer than I had thought Alhamdulillah... but all this AP talk is really, REALLY frightening! Allah khair karay!

Got a call from AMEX this morning to come collect my interview letter. The interview is on 26th of November, closer than I had thought Alhamdulillah... but all this AP talk is really, REALLY frightening! Allah khair karay!

I just wanna tell u in these days they r putting on AP to all approx,there r only few which r getting visas.

but i dont want to let u down just be confident in ur interview and bring all documents with u which could be related to ur case.Bring the orignals.

I will pray for u n rest of the applicants who has thier interview dates closer.

I know... this is why I am thinking that while it's exciting to have the interview date in hand, with the way things are going these days... it'll be back to being in a state of no time-frame. But still, I am expecting the best from Allah.

Guys no. They sent us the passport with the visa stamped in it BACK to the office where you are supposed to pick it up. I'm asking how long do they keep it in the office so you can go pick it up. Bro in law said they only keep it for three days? is that true? Where do we pick it up after the three days are up? in islamabad? DArn this sucks Your help is appreciated.

Thank you everyone for your wishes... it's a big ask to stay calm with that furnace of AP out there... but I am trying. I wake up at least six times in the night and find myself praying "no AP... pleaaaaseee!"

The thing is we've been through it once already and just the thought of that time-less nightmare coming again... ugggghhhh
