Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0

ok so my case at nvcwill be completed in a week or two since we have sent the entire package at once.

can anyone gimme an idea on how i can get the interview date? over the phone? and will i be able to get the interview date for dec?

Once case is complete, NVC will schedule your interview date. You can call them once completed and ask them if you have been given a date yet and they will tell you when and what time it is. Even if your case is completed by Nov 15th, it is not neccessary that you will be given a december interview date. The reason for that is because Islamabad has limited capacity. They give NVC the count of how much capacity they have for that month and they schedule based off of that. So, if that gets full once they get to your case, then you have to wait for the second week of the following month to find out when your interview will be for the next month after that. The reason i know this so well is because we went through this same #######. Our case was completed Oct 16th while they were still scheduling interviews for November. But, we were not given a November date because Islambad's capacity was met. Therefore, we had to wait till now to find out our interview for December. Anyways, I hope you can get a December date because I know how much this waiting sucks. But, there is always a good reason behind why Allah does things. So, there must be a good reason why we were given a December date.

Hey Revived, Qasim, Aisha, Mary, Mian & others Friends,

Good News is I got done finally with the AP process on 27th October which i found out on Friday by DOS, but till 3rd Monday no one called from Islamabad Embassy so i made a call myself and he told me to submit the passport which i did today. so let see when they give it back to me.

Any idea how long they are taking? Because i have to be there before 5 Dec.

Would like to thank everyone for being a part of this dark hole of mine as not everyone was in there but it felt we are together and that helped me in staying stronger and to believe what i was going through will over soon.

I would think that you would have your passport way before Dec 5th insha allaah you will have back before then insha allaah

with Qasim's it only took like 7 days to get his back once he submitted his passport, but I think it can be a lil longer ??

Yes and we were all right there with you because at some point.......we have all be there and still are but insha allaah everybodys time is coming and being reunited with their families insha allaah

I had a death situation too along with great financial debt and legal issues due to this death. Which my congessman requested it and sent them all the proof. And was told the expedite was apprvd too but this was a few days before his interview and we are still waiting. I hope things are different for you. Im not trying to argue or compare im just saying dont get your hopes up cuz after the fact they still put him on AP and told us we have to wait unitl security checks are done that they cannot issue the visa until then.

Picked up my appointment letter today from AMEX. They also returned a lot of my documents like wedding photos, school records, bank statements and letter from employer.

The letter says the interview is at 8 am, and I have to be at the convention centre before 7 am. I have to bring wedding photos and other proof of an ongoing relationship.

Also asks for $131. It does not mention fingerprinting fee. Will I not be charged that?

they dont cost for finger prints , what they are asking , bring exact amount and take all photos , phone bills , emails , day to day chat logs and take your interivew serious , i was screwed in interviewed thats why i am telling u zidane

I got call from them on 21ist of october and then I submitted passport , medical report and police report on 27th of october , and i am still waiting for my pasport , i havent heard back any thing from speedx so 10 days are over and normally what i heard they take 14 days to give passport back having visa on it

The fee of 131.00 in the past was actually 130.00 it was for all K visa applicants. It is for all IV and DV applicants :

Immigrant visa security surcharge

$45.00 plus U.S. Visa fingerprinting : $85.00 this was the formula in the past. CR-1/IR applicants paid their fees via the NVC before their applications were forwarded to the embassy. Please take whatever funds they request at the time of the interview.

Hey Aisha,

Yep were are still waiting . I called the DOS the other day and they said our case had been moved from the immigrant division to the non immigrant division for more processing, what ever that means . You know how they are they wont tell you anything (Its a big secret and a matter of National Security) . Sure would be nice if i could start making wedding plans. Anyways, Im here still waiting, and waiting and waiting. I glad im not holding my breath. When is your hubby coming? Hopefully in time for the BIG FEAST.

IV Processing Fee - US $400.00 or Pakistani Rupee equivalent ($355 application processing + $45 worldwide security surcharge)

I have already paid my 400$ immigrant visa fee at NVC. And for finger print fee i emailed to US embassy islamabad and they replied me this,

Dear Sir/Madam,

There is no finger print fee.
