I called US embassy today and finally got through after pressing 1 repeatedly for a while. was so surprised when the tone went through and an operator came on.

My interview date is November 24th!!!

Then also got a call from AMEX after a few hours telling me to pick up some documents that had come for me, I assume they're talking about packet 4.

I'm so excited and hope everything goes fine. Keep me in your prayers.

I am flying to Lexington Kentucky.

You might want to find out the rate to fly to Louisville, Ky. Lexington is not that far from there (1hr drive.) It may save you some money. Let me know the travel agent you went thru cuz hopefully we will be needing a ticket soon too.

WHOAAA!!! Now that's what I'd call fan-tas-tic news! You know, I had a feeling there's some news for you this Monday, and there'll be one for me two Mondays later, inshAllah.

I have checked price from several agents, and bought the ticket from Emirates Office becouse they are the cheapest plus they don't give u run aroung or falls information as agent always would.

Karachi to dubai to Houston to lex... Emirates Economy Boeng 777 Rs 69000/-

Every agent i checked qouted me above Rs 71000/- plus they were giving the ticket from Khi to Dubai to London UK then Chicago then Lex....

The rout i got from Emirates Office is Dubai to Houston Direct O Stops.

Yes I am so scared of AP now! I don't know about you but I am pretty sure they'll throw me in that furnace... I am praying it doesn't happen though, inshAllah.

Today was my medical.I got four injections of vaccination & X ray.Every thing was fine and they only charge Rs.8825.

The experience was very good.

Here is a question that i m on expidition request coz my wife is not well so will they put me AP in this cirumstances while theyalready expidite my case?

Hi,

I noticed your are going on the CR1 route as well and had a question on the medical. Did you have to take your vaccination records to your medical? If not, how did they know which vaccinations you need?

I am just trying to figure out what we need to do before the medical? Do we need to find out about prior vaccination records before the actual medical or can they check there which vaccinations you need?

Our case was put on expedite request by our congressman, due to a very extreme situation that was almost 4 months ago. We are still waiting. They still put him on AP and told us we have to wait until security checks are done.

Hey Revived, Qasim, Aisha, Mary, Mian & others Friends,

Good News is I got done finally with the AP process on 27th October which i found out on Friday by DOS, but till 3rd Monday no one called from Islamabad Embassy so i made a call myself and he told me to submit the passport which i did today. so let see when they give it back to me.

Any idea how long they are taking? Because i have to be there before 5 Dec.

Would like to thank everyone for being a part of this dark hole of mine as not everyone was in there but it felt we are together and that helped me in staying stronger and to believe what i was going through will over soon.

Yes i m going on the CR1 route but inshaAllah will get IR1 coz we have celebrated our 2nd aninversary.No i did not take any privious vaccination or medical reports for the medical coz i had nothing,and its ok if u have nothing.

I cannot tell u exactly which vaccinations would be required but i noticed they gave the similar vaccinations to approx to all.

Just relax and dont worry everything will be fine and there is nothing for u do to in advance.
