Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0

When they call to have you send them your passport, who do they call? The spouce in the united states or the spouce in pakistan? How do we give them both numbers? DOS says the wife has been issued visa but no response from embassy, could it be the phone number thing?

my brother sent the passport to the embassy in islamabad via american express last week but he still away from getting the passport back

can he go there tu pick up the passport from the embassy i mean is that posibel

I called US embassy n they told me that documents review time can 4 weeks..SO zaid wrote that they answered him 2 weeks.

Is this a joke from US embassy?

they r so slow and after the interview they will take the decision regarding our visa like they will give us visa or they put us on AP.

This all process is a big joke .......

Sibtain when did you send in your packet? your timeline says on August 10? Did you mean October 8th?

Also is the 4 weeks thing the maximum time they said it would take?

the way i see it peeps there is No max time or deadline... it's all "UNDETERMINABLE" / UNPREDICTABLE ..... i guess it depends on your luck! even if you stick to the rules...

This was from the bombings that were happening in Islamabad back in September. Visa issuance resumed a few days later and persons are getting visa's just alot of AP.

No updates its been 15 days and still waiting. i tried to call embassy but never get through any operator. so i called Amex they are saying i will get it soon ! Thats what they always say.
