I am very happy :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: I can't wait for him to get here, but it won't be right away.

He has things to do there and this is Ramadan and spending Eid with his family there. Just wish I could go there and we fly back home together :)

Thanks

Salam to all:)

well,my fiancee got her passport back with the visa today, she had her interview on 15th of september:):)

here is the interview review:

she went to convention center at about 6am. she was the first one there, there was this security guard over there, who was really very rude, and was treating everyone verryyyy badlyyyyyyy...........:@...since the ticket issuers to the shuttle had not arrived yet,he was treating evryone very harshly and wasnt even guiding the people where to stand and make ques for the ticket....so guys theres an advice, whenever u go there, just be aware of him,..finaly the ticket issuers came at about 6;30,since my fiancee was the first one,so she got to the shuttle at about 7am. she reached embasy at 7:10,then there was a security guard, who was making 2ques,one for immigrant, and other for non immigrant visa, she was asked to go inside the embasy at around 7;20am. First they took fingerprints and told her to wait in the IV Waiting room for her name to be called. after 15 minutes they called her in window number 4 for money collection, they took 131dollars and gave her a recipt, and asked in which language would she prefer to give interview, she said she would prefer it in english.then she was asked to sit and wait, after 10min,she was called at window number 6, where a pakistani girl was there, she didnt ask her any questions, but just asked her to submit her medical report and affidavit of support, that girl was realy very gud. then she asked her to sit and wait for the CO to call her. then after 15min,that is at about 8:35am, she was called by an american CO.she said he was a realllyyy nice guy. He welcomed her and smiled and said "hey, how are you,i am sorry if i pronounced your name incorrectly", she said no its perectly alright, he smiled and said "ok"

then he asked him very few questions, they were:

how do u knw ur fiance? are you both cusions?how many times have u met him?will u complete ur education before getting married to him?will u come back to pakistan to complete ur education?will u complete it over there?has ur fiance been grown up in US?then he asked did u have an engagmnt party?she said yes,can i show u the pictures?he said yeah sure show me,she gave the picture album to him,he hardly saw any pictures,my fiance asked him that do u need more pictures?he said no no they are well enough and smiled,my fiance asked him do u need any other proofs,he smiled again and said no:)

then he called one oficer, and asked her if he could issue the visa now,the officer said it wont be possible,so the CO told my fiancee that congratulations, u r approved, then gave him a pink slip, and he told her that the american express in karachi will contact my fiancee within 7days,and if they dont, then just contact them and inquire:)

that was it,the american express contacted within 3days,and this is how she got her visa:)the CO was really a gud guy,he was really very friendly, and it took hardly 10completes to complete the interview:)

i wish best ov luck to everyone:)

one thing that my fiancee observed was that they usually judge u by ur appearance and confidence as well,so be confident, may ALLAH help u all,Ameen:)

Hey guys, congrats to everyone who their visas.

i recently had my I130 and I!29F petitions approved from vermont, we received two letters from NVC about the I129F reaching them and being assigned a case number. First one we received on 15 Sep and the next one on 16 Sep, both were identical.

My question is, how do I know when the NVC will forward my case to Isb? We haven't received any more letters yet.

Also we did not receive any letter from the NVC for the I130, is that something to be concerned about even though we want to proceed with the K3 route?

Thanks!

Aisha

I think I'm going to be heading back in January to bring her back. I was honestly expecting AP to take a lot longer so I went ahead and accepted a new position at work, I'm going to try and settle into the position before I go on vacation.

Salam Everyone! I hope that this finds you all in the best of health and happiness (ameen). This is a blessed month and everyone who is still pending or in AP keep praying and Insha'Allah Allah (SWT) will hear our prayers.

I am here in California and wife in Lahore. It's now been 15 months in AP and each day is a struggle. We are fed up and I guess I felt like venting a bit. I've written several letters to Congressman and even to a Senator but the efforts seem to only give me comfort. The fact is that there isn't anything that can be done other than be patient and know that there is some good in this. We put our faith in Allah Almighty and ask that HE give us strength through this difficult time. It's not easy with all the happenings in Pakistan.

Our interview was July 3rd 2007. If anyone out there has any similar experience or any advice I would be very grateful to it. Thank you and best wishes always

~Nadeem

We are still on A/P. Hopefully will be over soon. Havent been on for a while, had some misfortunate things happen in my life. Im getting better, our case was suppose to be expedited, according to my congressman, called them friday they told me the hold up is at the Dept of State. Hoping my fiance can be here soon to start a brand new life together.
