After reading your post I decided to call DOS, and they said my wife's visa has been issued and the AP is over!!!

US Embassy called Qasim yesterday 09/10/2008 to submit his passport!!!!!!!!

He called me yesterday morning and gave me the news...............and I had just called DOS the day before and we were still "AP PENDING"

So I called as soon as office opened and sure enough........in the system>> Embassy asked for his passport

So he submitted his Passport today through AMEX and they told him about a week and he should have it back!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah, they called her this afternoon (around 5pm Pakistan time), there taking the passport down the courier tomorrow.

We mailed ours on Tuesday/Wednesday and received it on Thursday. (Just over 1 week) My fiancee is in Lahore.

She just got on the PIA for her journey to US! I am meeting her at the JFK airport tomorrow!!!!! its been 9months and 6days since we have last seen each other!!!

My husband doesn't even have his visa in hand and I am worried about getting our home in order and making list of stuff I want to get for him. It's like omgosh.....hard to describe.

my older brother is over 21 and un marrige my dad sponcer him and my dad is us citizen

his interview was in march 2008 and he is on A/P its 5 month gonna end .when i called them they always says your case is still in administrative processing i mean pending my question is dat

last monday when i called the dos the lady told me that his all papers are reviewed .what does it mean????

i called them again on last thursday they told me his case is still on a/p i mean on administrative processing

can any one tell me what does it mean by his all papers are reviewed ?

please help me out and thanks in advance bye and have great day

i wuld assume the rep you talked w/earlier worded A/P as 'review'.. he is still under AP ..if u both still have Qs .. your best bet is calling ISL embassy and askin' them for update.. they will have the most accurate info for you.. if they say he is still under AP ... then thatz the case.

Revived brother islamabad embassy did not give a gud responce ..they always says when case is complete we will contact with you but thank you soo much for the help i appricate it

i am a Sister not a Brother=))

I would take the embassy response as 'admin processing' inshAllah you will hear soon.. either it's clearance or other processing awaiting .. But did you ask embassy if it is still under AP or clearance? also mayb asking DOS rep next week what does 'review' implies will help! I have nto called DOS lately myself but on another forum some1 asked a similar Q , i will copy n paste the thread here:

Q:he lady told me that your case is in the US embassy for the review.What does that mean?Can anyone help me on that?

Answer: It means that the case is with Islamabad and they will have an SAO meeting which stands for Security Advisory Opinion (SAO). At this meeting the CO will review all documents and then decide on whether to issue the visa, order more checks, or do a field investigation.

Here is hoping that they are ready to issue the visa without any more delay. But right now it is still in AP so no time frame is available

and that lady told me one thing more to me which is that "you will get soon" .......i dont kno any thing about it

you know sis i got my visa after 27th days of interview us embassy send me the letter to send your passport

now tell me where i should call i mean next week in us embassy or DOS thanks in advance

...........i dont know whats goin on some told me that and someone told me that ur in a/p .but i pray to allah that every one a/p will end asap i love my brother sooooooooooo much

I think the best thing to do is contact both agencies ( the ISL embassy & DOS) it won't hurt anything. You should ask them the status and what do they mean by " your bro's papers are reviewed". Just ask them to explain what they mean to you......ya know. I know I would be doing that. My momma always told me if I didn't understand something to ASK to have it explained to me, so I would understand, ya know what I mean?

Insha Allaah your brother will get his visa soon enough........just keep praying to Allah and he will give when its his time. insha allaah
