I would wait to buy the ticket. They told my wife she would get her passport back after 1 week but it took them more than 3. Whatever American Express office your wife selected to pick up her passport from will call her after it has been delivered to them.

She will have to go there in person to pick up the passport, she will have to show the receipt she got after the interview to pick up the passport and the visa packet.

You are not supposed to be married on K-1, but lot of people from Pakistan do it. My friend brought his wife the same way. He first filled the K-1 after she received the K-1 Visa, he went to Pakistan got married then came here then got married in Court in US.

I hate this waiting as well......It sucks really bad not being with the one that you love ......your life partner.....

Qasim and his bro are working on what needs to be done there and I have the AOS papers ready to go out to him. I was going to send off today but the darn P.O. main window was closed when I got there this morning, so insha allaah I will try and get it sent out this week. I can't get to the P.O. in time from work to send off, so I have to wait till next sat. (unless I can get somone to do it for me)

Anywho........I keep you in my prayers and please do the same .......I was really praying that Qasim would be home before Ramadan started.........*sighs* but don't think so this time.

We just have to stay strong and keep praying and be patient.

I m compelled to comment on this post:

this action is not only ILLEGAL, but unethcial, and UNISLAMIC. When you take an oath and utilize a particular process that u will only marry in US then you must. a marriage is a marriage may it b a 'religious ceremony' or civil.

Those who do it are not only commiting a CRIME but also a SIN. Moreover Allah command us to keep our promise and abide by laws of any land. God forbid it might reduce the bar'akats from the couple's life. Marriage is a beautiful knot, we must NOT take any risk. Additionally IF EVER that is EVER the USCIS finds out that you have committed this crime, both citizens are subject to deportation.

I apologize if i have offended anyone by this msg, but i m deeply sadden at this, then we sit and cry to Allah SWT why our duas r not accepted? I had to voice my opnion.

I am not critisizing any1 in particular and i m sure nor any1 is intending to do any such acts here , but this is just my opnion on this matter

1. Male= Canadian resident / has Candadian resident card, and also has Pakistan passport with 5 year United States Visa (multiple entry visa)

2. Female = US Citizen.

Female visited Canada and they both got married in Canada. He visited US for one week after wedding and went back to Canada (was that oK?)

Now the question, if the female applies for k3 or CR1 for him. Can he visit US while the application is being processed aka I-130 or I-129F.

Of course,

As long as 'male' has valid visa to visit the US. By filing I-130 or other immigration category visa disqualify you to apply for visit visa etc but since male has 5 year multiple visa, there shouldn't be an issue.

Think H-1 visa is only exception while ur immigration application is being processed.
