i used www.kayak.com But its emirates airlines usually to jfk on that site i think. Congratulations

Thanks!

I need PIA because I want a direct flight from Lahore to JFK. Etihad/Emirates don't travel direct, you have to switch planes. But thanks for your help.

Hi' Gohar

I wanted to ask you if you sponsored your wife or fiancee. Plus when they did the AP was it for you as a petitioner or the beneficiary. I assume its the petitioner if they send the case to washington.

Is there a pattern who goes on AP like mostly men or both men and women and for petitioner who are citizens or green card holders sponsoring their spouse.

Hey Ali,

I think you are getting the Marriage/Fiancee Visa confused with Family Visa's.

The AP is always for the person in Pakistan (beneficiary). The Applicant is approved before the case ever makes it to the Isl. Embassy from my understandings. In my case at least, the AP was for my Fiancee in pakistan and not me.

I had to complete for I-134 (Affidavit of Support). I make enough money so i was able to "Sponsor" my fiancee.

----

congratsssssssssssssssssssssss to both of you!!! AlhumduLillah.

wishing her a safe journey, i m soooo happy 4 u both=)) she will ge to spend Eid w/you inshAllah=)))

uff meray liyay bhi dua karain=(

Revived,

Have you considered getting a lawyer involved? I know you mentioned that you have taken all the options of getting senators etc involve. I have a feeling that your file is sitting on someone's file cabinet or queue for no obvious reason just like it usually happens with any other government related issues. With so much technological advancement, The FBI checks are now happening within weeks etc. I just think someone somewhere needs to get someone's attention to pick your file and re-check. What could they possibly be checking for last 8 months is totally beyond me….

This is unbelievable. I would get an attorney involved at this point.

Good to hear from you guys. My case was approved in the second week of this month and when today I called the operator said they have sent me the letter two days back and my interview date in September. About medical appointment she said a website address is given in the letter. Contact the doctor given on that website take appointment from him. I am based in Peshawar and the doctor given on the website of us embassy is in Islamabad for me as well. I may receive the letter sent by

NVC in mid september. This is the time which took receiving doc from NVC. So is it ossible to get an appointment from doctor without having that letter in hand. If not what should I do.

Thanks.

Salam brothers and sisters

my case was just forwarded to NVC

I need help i want to know what happends next and how long does it take, who should i call and what should i ask?

MnM,

I would start calling the NVC office a week after your NOA2 date. Once they have the case they will assign a case number, which you can use to see if they have forwarded the case to the embassy yet. I talked to a guy at NVC and he said that the cases don't stay there very long.

Ali786,

Congrats on the medical. Was the doctor your wife went to on the list the embassy sent in packet 3? Seems like she had a good experience there. I would probably suggest the same doctor to my fiancee.

Yes it was the doctor from the list that was on the website given on the interview letter. there is only one center for islamabad.

Good Wishes and duas for your husband's interview.

We will hear good news Insallah

Hi Thank you very much ayesha for this information. Please let us know how much did they charge for the medical?

Did they perform other serological tests?

What if some one already has the vaccination of hepatitis b, chicken pox? would they charge ?

Thank zorro khan

Hi zorro,

I know that my husband took around 10,000Rps with him, but ended up paying a bit over 8,000rps. I am not sure about that test,

( serological tests? ) he just said that they checked him from head to toe and everything was fine. His eyesight was 100%, he does smoke alot ( which I don't care for), they did xrays, asked if he ever had mental problems, ( like i said that kept asking the same questions over and over again) maybe seeing if he would slip up or something, i don't know??? Looked in his mouth, his lower area, his chest, his feet, toes, just everywhere.

Also, there were a few shots that the doc said "was not required" so he got back like 500 rps.

I hope this helps a lil more and I will try and remember to ask him about that one test..okay?! Also his medical was done in Islamabad :)

The petitioner will get a copy of the letter soon in a week or so. You can on that web site see which doctor is in islamabad and call to schedule your appointment. you only need the letter on the date of your doctors appointment. and the petitioner can send you a photocopy or scanned copy. they only schedule medical interviews two - three weeks prior to your embassy interview

hey guys im very worried now i actually talk to a friend of my friend who applied for k1 visa also and after 6months of waiting his finance had her interview in the interview gori interviewer asked her at end of interview "have you been niked (nikha) yet, fiancé answered NO! (Which is true) then the interviewer said it is very unusual for an unmarried Pakistani girl to be sent to USA with a man without been niked or married, so for that reason case is denied and go back and file for K3 visa.

Does anyone know of any cases like this and how to answer that question, also are there any site where there are list of questions they ask at interview.

Please help im very very worried now. :help::crying::cry::shocked:

Congrats Gohar! Hope your fiance will get her a visa soon. I booked a seat for my fiance couple of days ago with PIA for this August. I bought her a ticket from USA through Travel Agent. I did do the comparison before i bought her a ticket. I was getting almost the same rate in here and Pakistan. It was $932 here and $966 in the Pakistan ONE WAY. I consider it wont matter to buy from either places. Well here is another thing that i am still not able to fully verify that whether the UK transit visa is required since the flight is gonna make a stop in Manchester, UK. I have been inquired in many places including PIA officials, some people are telling me it is a required and some people are contradicting. Just want to get that into your attention. If you have any related information please feel free to share.

IF anybody in forum have any related info please share with us. Thanks.
