May be James Shortcut should include instructions on how to create the visa letter appointments too for people who lose or don't receive their letter. It is very straight forward, just like any other NVC letter....

I would keep calling NVC until either you receive your letter or they send you another copy.

Good Luck

Petitioner B.C. , Have they ever asked the Beneficiary for the Petioner's B.C at the embassy? Just wondering if I should send it or not?

I never sent the original, but i did send two copies just in case they decide to ask for it.

Hi,

just wanted to ask you what is the number of DOS and how to contact them regarding AP on my case, secondly how did you got your case expedite and where did you call and what did you say.

reply will appreciated.

Thanks

Saqib

+12026631225 here is the number, have you case number ready (ISL??????????) and the beneficary's birthdate.

I called ISB and told them that Im expecting and wanted to know how much longer it will take and if my husband will be here in time for my delivery the guy laughed and said he will put in a request, But I also asked the guy if he could some how expedite the case and he put in a request and thats how it worked for me. I would say within a week or so we receieved an email from ISb to come and pick up visa.

hope this helps

Revived,

Sorry to hear that your case has been on AP for 7 months. This is outrageous. Did you consider writing to your senator? I highly recommend that.

Good luck

Salaam everyone,

Just thought I'd let you guys know that we just got our NOA2 via email last night.

I've heard it takes a long time to get the police records. Should I go ahead and have my fiancee get her police records now?

Thanks.

Qasim went to his medical and he got there around 9 am and he was out around 1:30pm. He said that everything went okay and only needed 3 shots (Hepatitis, Tetanus and Chicken Pox). He told me that the experience wasn't that good, but Alhumdulilah everything went okay and he can pick up his report on Monday, July 21st. Qasim told me they checked him from head to toe and asked him several questions about any illnesses, surgeries, mental issues and again asked him same questions over and over again.

He had his done in Islamabad and he said that there were many families there together, getting medicals done. He was the first one in and out for the day.

Now it's time for the next big step.........Interview Date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep us in your prayers

walikumsalaam monty,

Congratulations on getting your NOA2 :dance:

Also, I would suggest not getting your police report now. I know that my husbands police report was only good for 90 days, so I suggest to wait for right now. You will have plenty of time to get it. I have read where some are good for 6 mths, but maybe that is due to where your living?! You still have to be assigned a case number, so you do have time before getting that police report.

Maybe someone has better advice for you and could suggest better

Best of Luck @ NVC!!!

Hi Thank you very much ayesha for this information. Please let us know how much did they charge for the medical?

Did they perform other serological tests?

What if some one already has the vaccination of hepatitis b, chicken pox? would they charge ?

Thank zorro khan

Hi zorro,

I know that my husband took around 10,000Rps with him, but ended up paying a bit over 8,000rps. I am not sure about that test,

( serological tests? ) he just said that they checked him from head to toe and everything was fine. His eyesight was 100%, he does smoke alot ( which I don't care for), they did xrays, asked if he ever had mental problems, ( like i said that kept asking the same questions over and over again) maybe seeing if he would slip up or something, i don't know??? Looked in his mouth, his lower area, his chest, his feet, toes, just everywhere.

Also, there were a few shots that the doc said "was not required" so he got back like 500 rps.

I hope this helps a lil more and I will try and remember to ask him about that one test..okay?! Also his medical was done in Islamabad :)

thanks

Aisha

hello VJr's

Just something that I have been thinking about lately. I have been here for awhile now and finally my husband has an interview date for July 31st. , BUT I have been so stressed out, anxious, and have had all sorts of emotions....about this coming to an end and finally being in the arms of my husband and starting our future together.

I sent him last week every lil piece of paper that was collected during this whole process ( yes i have made copies of what was sent to him). I just don't want any of the officers to have any reason for well ""You know"" , to give us bad news

Of course, we are not celebrating just yet, because who knows what is going to happen on July 31st. I know that he will be put on AP, but just praying not for a long period of time, but not sure of how all of that name checking works

So, could someone please explain how the name checks work again. I think that I have read before, but idk.. I am really stressed out over this whole name check stuff. I have seen so many on AP for over 6 mths and I think to myself>> WHY SO LONG omg

I know they have to through different databases, but still that is tooo long.

Just stressin out guys

Aisha

I wanted to request the people to share their experience who's wife or female fiance went for a medical. since as Aisha mentioned it seems to be a rough experience.

Salaam Ali,

Basiclly I think they were rude and no bedside manners at all. Regardless of what the heck they are doing, they should always be nice. I have been in the health field, so I know. Also, my husbands doc was female and he didn't care for that at all.....cause of the whole examination and stuff. :( He would have been more comfortable if it was a Male ya know.

I would have thought that if your male then a male doc should have seen you and if your female then only a female doc. At least that is how I was looking at that ya know. So, that is why his experience wasn't that great and that they kept asking the same questions to him and he would still give same answer.

But he can pick up his medical stuff on Monday July 21st.

I really wish some of the ones that had interviews in July already, would post their experiences as well to help us in waiting out ya know!!!!!!!

Just give us like what questions were asked and what the CO's asked for if anything during the interivew.

Aisha
