gohar,

my finace didnt send the passport with packet 3.5. is that ok? she only sent copies as american express told so.

by the way american express told my fiance that it can take upto a month to get the visa after the interview so i think its very normal and nothing to worry about.

Thanks Taufik,

The first was a Male, 2nd was a Male, and the person who told her congrats and it takes upto 6Wks was a female.

The interview took a total of about 3.5 hours...... thats the total amount of time from when she entered until she left the building. a lot of the time was just sitting and waiting

Proof of on going relationship --- She took pictures of us together when I was in Pakistan in Dec., she took e-mails, Skype Logs, Raza.com phone records, flight info, copy of passport stamps ---- they VO did not ask for any of this information. She tried to give them the information and they told her they had all the information they needed from her......she they only have what we submitted with Pkt3.5 back in Dec....... not additional info was needed for my case, yours may be different...... depends on what you have already submitted.

They didnt' ask anything of her except for the medical and police, no more personal information or anything of that matter

let me know if you have any other questions

I don't know if there is a correct place to ask this but here it goes.

My brother is applying for I-130. The 800 number says the file was approved as of Feb 14th 2008 and now when he calls them they are saying the next step is to book the interview. Anyone have any info on which month they are setting up the interview for?...Thanks....

That's great, yeah, his two older brothers would be just fine. My husband NEVER had a b.c. period....he went to the military hospital last year to get it and they were all destroyed.....ugh. Anyway, at least there's a way out! I would also (just cause with this visa process I'd rather be over prepared) have him include educational documents....can't hurt. Is he working on his 3.5?

I wish it was his 3.5, but no. These are the documents for the ds230 and has to be sent to NVC. We are trying to get everything together ahead of time.

So, let me get this right

1) he would need to have sworn affadavits done by his 2 eldest bro's

2) also, it would help to have any educational diplomas with the correct spelling

If he gets those done, then he could submit them instead of his B.C.? Would that be sufficient enough for NVC?

I will let him know and thanks for the help gori

Aisha

Oh, I didn't realize you needed the b.c. for the NVC.....as someone said below, that's a surprise to hear, but also, they are making changes. You may want to double check though....just to be on the safe side. Yes, if you do the two things mentioned it will "replace" the birth certificate. It is on the Travel.state website they are aware there are issues in some countries, but I got my specific information straight from the embassy here (in PK). If you're sending yours to the NVC it wouldn't hurt to ask.....because I realize they aren't always on the same page!
