Hi every one, i call the department of state 3 days ago and they told me security clearnce is done for your wife earlier this month ( many thanks to Allah) , and there computer is telling...waiting for joint sponsor ship, i was shock because my lawyer allready send the joint sponsor ship in july 2007, like after one month of interview and they verfied its been received. I am very confused why they did not inform my wife or my lawyer that they need joint sponsor ship, because they lost it. DOS visa officer told me if i were you i will send a new sponsor ship letter.I told my lawyer and she is sending a new one to the embassy.

can any one have any idea whats going on ?????

i am making enough money now , and i have a stable income, my lawyer is also sending my three months pay stubs and a job letter to show it to them that so far in 6 month petitioner had earned 18,500 USD, he can support his family.

mary khurram, gori i need your suggestion about the current situation.

islamabad is not responding to my calls, emails probably they are behind due to hollidays.

advance thanks

Send new or updated information to them as soon as you can. I will say that they can still ask for a joint sponsor but it is worth a try to just have you as her sponsor since they may say the history is not long enough. Good luck.

JP and I are headed to the hospital and it looks like he will be in surgery most of the day, so please remember us and the surgeon today.

Mary

well i my wife got here interview appointment for AOS(adjustment of status)

how is everyone doing.

Good luck on the AOS.

Mary,

I will be praying for your son. Inshallah everything will be alright.

Will most def. be praying for your son and the dr.'s. I would go ahead and get the joint sponsor if you have someone. It's not worth the hassle later if you need one, it'll just slow things down. If you dont' require them, then no harm done...you know this process, better to be over prepared! Best of luck!!!

I havent been here in ages. I just have a question.

Are they still putting men on AP or AR. My friend's husbands interview is in Jan and I think he's on the CR-1 type Visa.

Thanks.

Alhamdullilah. On this Blessed day of Friday, I like to share two good news with you all.

Firstly, my wife received a letter via TCS courier this morning in Lahore Pak for an earlier interview date on Jan 25th, 2008.:dance::dance: Her original interview date was April 8th, 2008. We are both elated and excited to hear this good news. It reduces our agonizing wait by almost 11 weeks, Shukar Alhamdullilah.

Yes, I did send ISB embassy an email two weeks ago (Thank you Mary for the advise) requesting them to move my wife's interview to an earlier date. They replied back one week ago, stating "If an earlier slot is available we will contact the beneficiary". The most important point, however, is that at the end of the reply ISB advised to contact them if we don't hear from them in couple of weeks.

Second good news. Both my kids cases were completed at NVC today. Once ISB embassy receives them I am going to have all three cases consolidated and have interview the same day as my wife's, on 01/25/08

May everyone's painful wait come to an end soon and we all unite with our loved ones as early as possible.

Jaxguy congrats on getting the newer interview date. I wish all of you the best of luck on and Fasal nothing has changed with the AR/AP out of Islamabad.

A gentleman that we know from our area who does not frequent VJ petioned for his brothers to come over and they have been in processing since 1999, all of them were on AP min of 4 months, he contacted me this weekend to inform me that I was correct in how long it would take for their processing. Everyone just has to have faith and hang in there and pray for patience and ask for earlier interviews if you can get one.

I know the ladies are more likely to get theirs moved up than the men (I tried to no avail as well as others on here). I sometimes wonder if it is we are Gori and they make us wait longer to see if the relationship will endure the separation.

Surgery update: My son was in surgery from 11:30 a.m. Friday until 4:30 p.m. and we had very bad news. The prior surgery did not take since his head was full of scar tissue and it was the worst infection that the doctor ever saw he informed me. The infection had eaten away more bone and they had to shave it down further so he is in alot of pain yet as of today. They did more bone grafts, donor tissue and rebuilt the ear drum, reinstalled the titanium inplant, etc. We are uncertain if he will have any hearing restored and will have to go back in two to three weeks for stitches to be removed. I will still have to limit my time on VJ and do come and read and check my pms but do not hang around to post like prior.

I will still continue to come and root all of you on and pray that you are all reunited soon with your loved ones.

Mary

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Mary,

I don't come to this forum very often, as we are not to this point yet, but on occasion, I do like to see what is going on with other cases and get some advice, as you know.

I am sooo very sorry to hear of your son's surgery and what they found, but thanks GOD they did find it, so they could do something about that infection. My heart and prayers go out to your son and your family. Please keep us informed on his recovery and progress.

May Allah give your son complete health and shower your family with his blessings...Ameen!

Salaam Khurram,

I've been reading all your post and found them interesting and informative and thought i should consult a bit from you about my case status. My wife is US citizen and she filed through attorney for me in US while staying here in Pakistan, since we got married in 2004 dec she is with me and went back once in 2006 Jan and now waiting with me for my case to get approved, my daughter is also US citizen through her. Following is my timeline so far.

29 March 2007 - Applied for I-130 (California Service Center)

30 March 2007 - They received

04 April 2007 - NOA received From

06 or 07 April 2007 - applied for I-129F (Chicago)

09 April 2007 - NOA showed a filed or received day

25 May 2005 - It was transferred to California Service center)

Since then there is no action taken on my case, I've checked the processing time and it went over time frame, but no notification so far.

Can you tell me now whats going to happen and how thing will go like what papers i will be getting and what not? do remember that we have attorney in between so i guess all the papers is what he will be getting not me, if i'm wrong please tell me. do give me a detail step by step with time it takes and when should i expect to get approval & call for interview. One more thing what forms do pack contain which you receive for K3 and how many of pack are we going to get.

Thanks

Walaikum Salaam,

It took me three moths from the transfer date to my service center to approval but I have heard there is a tremendous backlog right now due to price hike in June and everyone that tried to apply before that. People are even having a problem reveiving their receipts for the forms they submitted (NOA-1).

That being said I hope you approval come soon.

This is whats going to happen:

1. Once case is approved NOA-2 (notice of Approval) will be generated and mailed to you and your lawyer. (sometimes only the lawyer gets the copy but I have seen it both ways).

2. The K3 case is then transfer to the National Visa center and then shipped out to the concerning Embassy and a notification is sent to you and/or your lawyer.

3. Once Embassy receives your case it take approx a week to 10 days to send you the K3 packet which contains the following:

a. Form DS-230 (I)

b. Form DS-156 - 2 copies

c. Parents Form

d. Form DS-157

e. Checklist - Attached

Let me know if you have more questions

-Khurram

Salaam Khurram,

Finally my application has been approved on 29 nov with the help of congress representative in 3 days my lawyer was bullshitting me that it wont help plus they can't do anything and on top he still doesn't believe as i have CC him all the correspondence i did with Congress person in which he said i got it approved and u will get a notification by tomorrow on yr email from USCIS by anyways my money just went down the drain ($4000) i guess.

So tell me now whats gonna happen, according to my lawyer he said it will take 60 days as his so called practice say for application to leave from there to come to Islamabad and then the rest gonna happen which it did in your wife's case. Dude you must be hell happy that your wife will be there in about a month or so lucky you and her, congrates to you and bhabi.

will be waiting for your reply on this email address. saqib.khwaja@yahoo.com
