Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0

hi everyone . I just called DOS and guess what the interview date has been issued. but i am very upset here . june 6th of next yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr oooooooooh come on thats very much unfair to the immigrants after waitting for sooooo long thats what we get . anyway friends i have one thing to ask is there way to get an earlier date, can i request or anyting like that . cuz i am planing to go to pakistan next month . plz let me know if there anyting can be done . thanks

Hi. Maybe you can call or email the embassy, but from what I hear lately the interviews have been scheduled anywhere from 4-6 months away. I am planning on being in Pakistan next summer for a few months and I am hoping that my fiance will have his interview by then, but from the way things look I don't know.

all of us want earlier intvw dates....no there's no way to get it......you can't even callk anymore. we are also travelling to pk...but even the birth of my husbands child doesnt warrant faster timing....we all have to wait in line......and yes, it is stinky to wait so long after all this.....thank the illegals

gori i think they just making money out of vistor visas we as an immigrant who cares cuz everyone whos going to embassy "long lines for vistors visa" soo many ppl applying but maybe one gets a visa and then they just passes on to others . suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks ok one more thing the police certifecate which was sent with 3.5 paket still going to be valid rite . even interview is 6months away . thanks replies and good luck to everyone

it's not so easy to get vis visa though....not anymore. you'll need to get the police report for the 3.5, and then probably again when the interview comes up...to take with you.

my wife is going for IR1 interview soon.does anybody know if she will have to pay any fee at time of interview?if yes then will it be in Us dollars or pakistani rupees?i've already paid visa application fee on behalf of her at Nvc(ds-230 fee).

It should be in her letter, but

she will need 100$USD....she can get it at any western union or money gram as well as certain banks....BEST OF LUCK!!!!

The police verification is valid for six month and the medical for one year since it is issued if that time passes then u had to do it again that i remember when i had my case in pakistan and i did my police verification and medical.

I hope once it is done it is not difficult to do again.

I've heard it takes as much as 6 months...I've seen on here in people's time line it's almost EXACTLY 6 months in some cases. I would consider emailing them and asking them for the details concerning your case. Do you know the standards for emailing the embassy? Best of Luck

Salman,

This is normal from the consulate/embassy so all you can do is wait it out. This part of the AP could be just internally inside of Pakistan like verifying the marriage, birth of daughter and the newest security check is the one that is affecting females. Hopefully it will not be much longer and they will ajudicate the visa. I know it is hard but all you can do it wait it out and pray for patience during this wait.
